Back to winning ways at Lingfield (6f) in December and followed up over 7f at Wolverhampton 3 weeks later. Likely to remain competitive after further 3 lb rise.
Fourth course win when scoring over this trip last month and followed up at Lingfield 8 days later. Clearly in very good form at present and respected.
Yet to get seriously competitive in 3 outings for this yard. Mark on the slide but others more obvious.
Course winner. Three wins from 7 runs last year. Bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap at this course (1m) when last seen in October.
Untrustworthy individual. Four-time C&D winner. Three wins from 12 runs last year. 40/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (7f) 21 days ago. Others arrive in better form.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2018. 10/1, respectable fifth of 10 over C&D 22 days ago, left with too much to do. Worth keeping an eye on in betting.
Progressive, easily winning 1m Newcastle apprentice event last week. Shorter trip asks a different question but still hard to oppose off same mark.
Thrice-raced maiden. Tongue strap on firs time, third of 6 in novice at Chelmsford (7f) in August, not knocked about. Potential improver in handicaps. Check betting.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2020. 3 lengths sixth of 9 to Inaam in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f, 12/1) 51 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal.
Won twice over 7f on AW in autumn but has lost way since. Would need to see market support to consider.

Forecasts
Pholas (9/4), Born To Finish (10/3), Evasive Power (6/1), Nezar (15/2), Dark Phoenix (15/2), Inaam (17/2), In The Red (10/1), Bartat (66/1), Big Brown (66/1), Hamaron (100/1)
There's a standout in the shape of PHOLAS who easily won a 1m Newcastle apprentice event last week and looks very well treated off the same mark. The drop to 7f perhaps isn't ideal but she's still hard to oppose. Hat-trick seeking pair Inaam and Born To Finish looks sure to be involved in the battle for minor honours. Evasive Power caught the eye last time and needs a betting check.
