Mixed record last season but did shape as if retaining all ability after 9 months off when third over this C&D back in November, just looking a shade rusty without the usual cheekpieces.

Fairly useful chaser who turned in his best effort of the season when finishing runner-up at Haydock back in December 2019. Cheekpieces replace the usual visor on first start for new yard.

Had wind op and best effort for a while when scoring with bit in hand at Sedgefield (21.1f, heavy) 8 weeks ago. Much respected in follow up bid and jockey's claim negates the 6 lb rise.

Fairly useful winning chaser who was placed all 3 runs in handicaps last term but not much encouragement so far this season.

Patchy record for Evan Williams ut stepped up on his reappearance in first-time blinkers when runner-up at Hereford 7 weeks ago. Should be in the mix once again.

Did very well for this yard in 2018/19 winning 4 times (3 hurdle, 1 chase). Shaped as if needing the run after 14 months off when pulled up at Huntingdon last month and blinkers now applied.

Five-time hurdles winner who opened chase account at second attempt at Perth (23.8f) in June 2019. Ended time with former yard out of sorts and pulled up in a point when last seen in March 2020.

Given a chance by the handicapper following a lengthy absence and good placed efforts first 2 starts this term, proving stamina for 3m when third at Bangor. Not so good last time and must bounce back.

Sole career success came back in 2015 and has offered little in 2 starts for current connections.

Won 2 novice hurdles at Sedgefield in 2017/18 and showed signs of a revival off reduced mark when third back over fences last 2 starts. Ought to be competitive again.

Fair chaser for Fergal O'Brien at his peak. Better known as a pointer these days, fading out of things on Rules return over hurdles in November.

Better known as a modest chaser but struggled to see his races out last term. Little impact back over hurdles on reappearance so percentage call is to look elsewhere.

This can go to Sam England's MANWELL, who took full advantage of having dropped below his last winning mark when scoring with a bit in hand at Sedgefield in November and Tom Midgley's claim negates a subsequent 6-lb rise in the weights. Un Prophete rates as the main threat if putting a below-par effort behind him, ahead of Billy Bronco and Gold Opera.
