Runner-up on 3 of her 4 starts between the flags and has hinted at ability in maiden/novice hurdles. Opening handicap mark not obviously generous but she could easily improve in this sphere.

Got stuck in the mud at Hexham in October but resumed progress when making all at Catterick (19f) 15 days ago. 7 lb rise unlikely to prevent another prominent showing if turning up in similar form.

Has shown promise in qualifying runs and looks interesting having had wind surgery ahead of this handicap debut. Also has a tongue tie added. Market confidence could prove significant.

Modest stayer on the Flat. Never dangerous back hurdling at Sedgefield latest but does at least stand a more realistic chance now handicapping up in trip.

Ended last season with a couple of solid placed efforts at Huntingdon but has yet to get seriously competitive this term. Cheekpieces which were worn last time are retained.

Winner of 3m chase at Southwell in July. Couple of respectable efforts back hurdling this autumn and possibly unsuited by very testing ground when remote third in Lingfield claimer latest.

Verdict

GOLDEN EMBLEM appeals as a likely improver in handicaps after wind surgery so might be worth chancing, with confidence increased should the market vibes be strong. Recent all-the-way winners Barnay and Cilluirid are sure to have a big say if showing up in similar form. Fergal O'Brien does well here and Pellady would also enter the reckoning if the betting speaks in her favour on handicap debut.
