Tim Davenport One That Got Away Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 15:13 | Winning time: 6m 43.02s

Little Jack^h1,t¹¹⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 12-0| J: Miss Immy Robinson⁽⁷⁾| T: G Hanmer| OR: 112

11/1

Played up beforehand but proved a different proposition under an enterprising ride in first-time tongue tie (also had another breathing op) when runner-up at Uttoxeter in September. Makes yard debut.

Form: 75/53P-2

Tawseef^p²⁰

Age: 12| Weight: 11-12| J: Abbie McCain⁽⁵⁾| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 110| D

20/1

Useful in his pomp but not the same force and went backwards from his reappearance when a remote third of 6 at Uttoxeter last time. Not of much interest despite much-reduced mark.

Form: 6062/73

Kauto D'Amour⁷⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-12| J: Sam Coltherd⁽³⁾| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 110

14/1

Ended last season in top form over hurdles so, while he failed to take to chasing in a handicap at Hexham on reappearance, he may well bounce back reverted to this sphere after a break.

Form: 25142-8

Morozov Cocktail²²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-6| J: Mr William Easterby⁽⁵⁾| T: T D Easterby| OR: 104

11/1

Modest form over hurdles to this point and, while not discredited when third on handicap debut at Kelso recently, his mark demands more if he's to open his account.

Form: 04-73

Maison D'Or¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Joe Colliver| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 103| CD

9/2

C&D winner who arrives on back of creditable second at the track 13 days ago, so another positive showing seems assured.

Form: 618-242

Mamoo^p³⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR: 100| CD

9/2

Dual C&D winner last term, latterly off this mark, so not one to rule out having run respectably in fifth here on his latest outing.

Form: 17-7535

Toi Storey^b,t¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: B S Hughes| T: R Menzies| OR: 97| CD

7/2

Fairly useful winning hurdler last season but has shown little so far this term, so hard to make a solid case for despite sliding mark.

Form: 7-78P06

Wbee⁷⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-13| J: Danny Burton⁽⁵⁾| T: G Hanmer| OR: 97

22/1

Fair bumper winner but yet to match that level over hurdles, down the field from a stiff-looking mark on handicap debut at Carlisle 74 days ago. Needs longer trip to bring about improvement.

Form: 215-640

Cudgel¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: C O'Farrell| T: J Walton| OR: 92

7/2

Likeable type who is two from two so far this term and was idling when marginally holding on at Hexham 19 days ago. 4-lb rise is far, so he's expected to remain competitive even in this higher grade.

Form: 1323-11

Forecasts

Toi Storey (7/2), Cudgel (7/2), Mamoo (9/2), Maison D'Or (9/2), Morozov Cocktail (11/1), Little Jack (11/1), Kauto D'Amour (14/1), Tawseef (20/1), Wbee (22/1)

MAISON D'OR has a quality record at the track and, with few well-treated rivals in opposition, he could record an opportunistic success under another positive ride. Little Jack was better than ever when runner-up at Uttoxeter on reappearance (for a different stable), so he's also respected along with the hat-trick seeking Cudgel.
