Promising sort. 8/11, sixth of 13 in maiden at Down Royal (7f, soft) 75 days ago, not knocked about. Highly promising debut sticks in the mind and he's worth another chance to get off the mark.

12/1

Foaled February 13. Empire Maker filly. Dam Canadian 2-y-o 6f-8.5f (Grade 3) winner. Not totally discounted given her connections.

Forecasts

Messidor (1/1), Golden Lyric (11/4), Hair Of Gold (13/2), Bader Ginsburg (10/1), Pell Mell (12/1), Ever A Dream (16/1), Cliffs Of Malta (28/1), Blue Bunny (100/1)

MESSIDOR flashed home in the style of an above-average filly when third on debut and, with her only subsequent effort excusable on account of the ground, she's taken to open her account at the third attempt. Golden Lyric fits a similar mould in that she's bidding to bounce back form a poor run in the mud, and she appeals as the main danger ahead of newcomer Pell Mell.
