Fairly useful jumps winner, making GB/IRE Flat debut. 5/1, fourth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (19.4f, good to firm) 18 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Interesting newcomer to this code.

Once-raced maiden on Flat. Last of 6 in minor event (100/1) at this course (10.2f, soft) on flat debut, doing too much too soon. Off 14 months. Significantly up in trip.

Forecasts

Cadeau D'Or (7/4), Push The Tempo (9/4), Ispahan (11/4), Tinnahalla (10/3), Tao Te Ching (11/2), Shall We Go Now (11/1), Little Tipsy (150/1), Welsh Rarebit (150/1), Appletart (200/1)

Verdict

ISPAHAN has already showed plenty of ability and, given things didn't go his way when fourth in a handicap at York last time, he remains with improvement in him, so he's an obvious choice to open his account back in novice company. Push The Tempo has been in good order over hurdles and might pose the biggest threat to the selection, though Cadeau d'Or is hard to rule out.

  1. ISPAHAN
  2. PUSH THE TEMPO (IRE)
  3. CADEAU D'OR (FR)
