Won on course return in August and near-smart form when following up at Ascot 3 weeks later (both 1m). Respectable sixth of 27 in Cambridgeshire at Newmarket (9f) latest and remains open to progress.
Snapped a 2-year losing run when seeing off 6 rivals at Newmarket (9f) last month. Did that readily but more on his plate up 6 lb in this deeper race. Testing ground also an unknown.
Horris Hill winner here on heavy last year. No impact in pattern company this term, including back from 4 months off at Newmarket recently, but more realistic chance at this level with blinkers added.
Last 6 wins have come at Ayr, the latest over this trip off 6 lb higher in June. Been below that level since and others preferred again despite the fact he's well handicapped.
4 lb below the mark he defied at Pontefract last spring and took a step back in right direction when second (Chatez third) to a progressive sort at York (soft) a fortnight ago. Considered.
Won Spring Cup here on soft in 2019. Hasn't been the same force this year but latest York third (Aasheq second) shows he's down to a mark he can be competitive from.
A hat-trick in autumn 2019 kicked off with a C&D win on soft. Unable to continue the good work over hurdles at Cheltenham in November and watching brief the percentage call back from 11 months off.
Tends to take a strong hold but it didn't prevent him completing a hat-trick around this trip in August/September. Another good run when second at Nottingham (heavy) latest.
Progressive colt who built on his C&D success when landing a Chester handicap in decisive fashion last month. Not seen to best effect over 1½m at Newmarket since and remains open to improvement.
Course scorer who resumed winning ways in 7-runner event on soft at Nottingham 10 days ago. Only raised 3 lb and he remains with handicapping scope on old form.

Surrey Pride (2/1), Tempus (9/2), Aasheq (13/2), Breath Caught (15/2), Lunar Jet (9/1), Chatez (9/1), Snow Ocean (12/1), Kenzai Warrior (20/1), Torcello (25/1), Data Protection (40/1), Nicholas T (80/1)
A useful contest. SURREY PRIDE was better than the result in a very strong 3-y-o handicap at Newmarket last time and can resume his progression back at the scene of his win in August. Tempus, another with a course win to his name this term, acquitted himself well in the Cambridgeshire and rates a big threat back in these slightly calmer waters. Aasheq is also respected after a good run last time.
