Fourteen runs since last win in 2019. 6/1, creditable third of 9 in handicap at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy) 12 days ago, running on. Remains on a nice mark and he needs taking seriously.
Latest win at Ripon in June. 11/2, sixth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (12f, soft) 23 days ago. One to consider back at what appears to be his optimum trip.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2018. Creditable second of 9 in handicap (12/1) at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy) 12 days ago. Not getting any younger but he has to enter calculations all the same.
15/2, last of 7 in handicap at Catterick (12.1f, good) 31 days ago. Bit to prove at present, both in terms of current form and the suitability of this trip.
Winner at Redcar in September. 7/2, good second of 8 in handicap at Ayr (8f, good) 20 days ago. Looks ready for this new trip and should be in the mix if coping with conditions.
Fair 2m winner over hurdles. 66/1, eleventh of 12 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 12 days ago. Best to look elsewhere.
Winner at Hamilton in September. Fifth of 8 in handicap (11/4) at Hamilton (12.1f, soft) 29 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good once more.
Cockalorum (2/1), Cruyff Turn (11/4), Benadalid (4/1), Awake My Soul (11/2), Viceregent (8/1), Gold Souk (25/1), Idilico (40/1)
CRUYFF TURN has improved switched to handicaps this season, hitting the crossbar when upped to a mile at Ayr last time. He shapes as though this trip will be within range and that he has more to offer, so this 3-y-o may well be the answer if handling the ground. Cockalorum is proven under the conditions and will be a big threat if backing up his latest effort, while Awake My Soul also has claims.
