Dream Weddings At Western House Hotel Handicap (For The Kilkerran Cup)
Class 2 | 1m 2f | Good to Soft (Soft in Places) | 12 Runners | Turf
Off time: 15:02 | Winning time: 2m 17.39s
3-time C&D winner, latest in June, but only thirteenth of 18 in handicap at Goodwood (9.9f, good) last time. Slipping in the weights but still needs to show more.
In good form in winter in Meydan, second of 10 in handicap (9.9f, good, 15/2) 6 months ago. Not ruled out if back on song after his lay-off.
Latest win at Newbury in June and not disgraced whhen sixth of 7 to Extra Elusive in Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock (10.2f) 40 days ago. Respected.
Without a win since 2018 and (66/1) only ninth of 10 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 12 days ago. Back up in trip but has questions to answer.
4-time course winner but rare poor effort when last of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (8f) 13 days ago. Back up in trip and sort to bounce back.
5-time C&D winner, latest in July, and posted good fourth of 19 in handicap (25/1) at York (10.2f, good) 11 days ago. Not taken lightly.
Latest win at Ripon in August and creditable fourth of 10 in handicap at Ripon (8f) 17 days ago. Should prove effective over this longer trip so firmly in the mix.
Winless since the restart, and only sixth of 7 in handicap at Chester (12.3f, good to soft) 6 days ago. Needs to step forward.
Winner at Haydock in June but below-form seventh of 15 in handicap (9/2) at Thirsk (8f) 13 days ago. Back up in trip now which should really suit so can make presence felt.
Latest win at Redcar in June and good second of 8 in handicap at Ripon (9.8f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Course winner too so in the mix.
Progressive Frankel colt who readily landed 10f maiden at Ripon (3/1) 17 days ago, forging clear late on. Into handicaps now on a handy mark so holds leading claims.
Dual winner in 2019 but yet to hit top form this season, sixth of 15 in handicap (22/1) at Haydock (8.2f) 12 days ago. Up in trip but easy to look elsewhere.
Spirit Dancer (3/1), Dubai Icon (10/3), Glasses Up (4/1), First Impression (17/2), Arch Moon (9/1), Dark Lochnagar (14/1), Morisco (14/1), Just Hiss (25/1), Glasvegas (28/1), Nicholas T (33/1), Redarna (40/1), Arctic Sound (66/1)
SPIRIT DANCER has improved with each of his three runs so is strongly fancied to follow up his taking Ripon maiden win now he goes handicapping off a lenient mark. Glasses Up has an exemplary course record so rates an obvious threat, while in-form Just Hiss appeals as the pick of the rest.
