C&D winner having his fourth run in this (second to The Tin Man in 2018). Hasn't looked the force of old this season and needs a big revival.
Went close on return in the Diamond Jubilee before resuming winning ways in taking style in the Hungerford (7f) at Newbury last month. Down the field in this last year but is a C&D winner. Big chance.
On a roll this summer, making it 3 wins from his last 4 starts over 6f in the Group 3 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last month. Plenty more needed now tackling a Group 1 but he could sneak a place.
Saw off The Tin Man for glory in this 12 months ago and successful in the Diamond Jubilee from Dream of Dreams on return. Fine effort in the Prix Maurice de Gheest latest and looks set for a big run.
C&D winner who finally bagged a big handicap in last month's Stewards' Cup fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Not so good at Newmarket since though, and has his first crack at a Group 1 now.
Fragile but talented 5-y-o who posted a career best when landing the Group 3 Hackwood over this trip in July, staying on well from The Tin Man. More needed here but that's not out of the question.
Cracking record in this, his form figures for the last 4 renewals reading 2312. Fine run behind Tabdeed in the Hackwood and seems sure to give his all again even if his very best days are behind him.
Made it 4 in a row in impressive style in 6f Group 3 in Ireland before a below-par showing in the Nunthorpe, well supported but never in it. Form has a strong look to it and he can get back on the up.
Posted a cracking time when winning the Commonwealth Cup on his return and has run well in defeat taking on his elders in the July Cup and Prix Maurice de Gheest. Bold bid expected.
Group 3 sprint winner at 2 yrs and even better form in defeat at the top level this season, placed in the Prix Jean Prat and Prix Maurice de Gheest in France the last twice. Got a big prize in him.
Back to winning ways with a career-best effort to win C&D event in the mud in July, holding on gamely. This is clearly much tougher but she's going in the right direction.
Smart filly who has run well in the Greenlands and Phoenix Stakes over this trip at the Curragh this summer, third in a tight finish behind Glen Shiel latest. Plenty on her plate here.
Stayed on strongly to win 6f York Group 3 in July and ran well behind all-the-way winner back there over 7f a fortnight ago. Will do well to pick these off on her first crack in Group 1 company.
Forecasts
Dream Of Dreams (5/2), Hello Youmzain (9/2), Golden Horde (13/2), Art Power (13/2), Lope Y Fernandez (15/2), Tabdeed (9/1), The Tin Man (14/1), Glen Shiel (25/1), Summerghand (33/1), Forever In Dreams (40/1), Brando (50/1), Archer's Dream (50/1), Queen Jo Jo (50/1)
ART POWER didn't give his running in the Nunthorpe but had looked a really exciting prospect before that, winning 4 in a row in dominant fashion. This test is sure to suit him better and with 3-y-os having a good record in this Group 1 he's taken to get back on the up. Last year's winner Hello Youmzain looks primed for another big run, as do Dream of Dreams and the admirable Golden Horde.
