Winner of valuable C&D handicap in 2017 and Queen Anne Stakes the following year. Solid reappearance fifth in this season's Queen Anne, but below par since and looks vulnerable back in a handicap.
Most consistent last year, winning 3 times. Hasn't disgraced himself this season, in listed company and back in a handicap at Doncaster last time, but others preferred all the same.
Has often threatened to land a big pot and delivered on that promise in good style when landing the C&D International Stakes in July. 6 lb rise fair enough and another bold show on the cards.
Decent effort at the Royal meeting and subsequently landed a big-field 7f York handicap (first turf win). Even after a 6 lb rise, he remains favourably treated on turf (current AW mark 6 lb higher).
Very useful colt at his best, winner of German 2000 Guineas and third in a French Group 1 last year. Below par so far this season, though, and this is a tough race in which to bounce back.
Gelded after low-key reappearance at the Royal meeting and much more like it when fourth off this mark at Glorious Goodwood (1m). Drop back to this trip could be a good move and needs considering.
Signed off 2019 campaign on a winning note and good third in 6f Goodwood listed event on return in June. Yard won this race last year, but needs to improve in order to defy current mark.
Better than ever with a visor enlisted last month, landing back to back 7f/7.6f handicaps at Chester within space of 6 days. However, up total of 12 lb and this is a more demanding assignment.
Improved when landing 7f Glorious Goodwood handicap last month. Failed to justify strong support when third off this mark at Chelmsford recently, but well worth another chance all things considered.
Four-time winner at 2 yrs and found just one too good for the second time this season at Newmarket (7f) last month. Remains on a fair mark, but no more than an each-way squeak here.
Right back to form when scoring over a mile here on debut for new yard last month. 7 lb rise manageable and drop back in trip shouldn't be an issue, so he has to be high on the shortlist.
Returned in fine form this summer, scoring at Beverley and Thirsk in July. Beaten 2¼ lengths by Revich at Chester recently, but was drawn wide that day and the outcome could be different this time.
Fine second in 2018 renewal of the C&D International Stakes off 15 lb higher mark. However, below par last year and has proved expensive to follow for new yard this season.
Produced best effort yet on turf when fourth in Silver Hunt Cup here in June. Has failed to back that up in 3 starts since, albeit he didn't enjoy the best of runs behind Revich at Chester last time.
Doncaster maiden winner on debut/sole start for Roger Varian last June and better form when third from the front in handicaps here the last twice.
Yet to fire this season and while he's now 1 lb below last winning mark, hopes are very much pinned on the new headgear sparking improvement here.

WILLIE JOHN was one of the last off the bridle when fourth in the Golden Mile at Glorious Goodwood and the return to this trip (winner of sole previous 7f start as a 2-y-o) could be just what he needs. Blue Mist deservedly bagged a big C&D handicap in July and should give another good account, but the same owner's Society Lion is feared most.
