Lightly-raced gelding. Cheekpieces on and too free when fifth of 7 in maiden at Galway (8.3f, soft, 50/1) 24 days ago. Back down in trip and shortlisted with headgear left off now.
β¬42,000 foal, Camacho colt. Half-brother to 7.6f-9f winner Character Onesie. Dam unraced out of useful 7f winner Cool Clarity. No back number on breeding so newcomer warrants respect for top yard.
Thirteenth of 15 in maiden at Roscommon (7f, good to soft, 14/1) on debut 64 days ago, missing break. Needs a big step forward.
Mehmas colt. Half-brother to 7f winner Gavi Di Gavi. Dam unraced out of smart 6f winner Moon Unit. Wears tongue strap for debut and others preferred on pedigree.
Twice-raced colt, and (28/1) last of 13 in maiden at Tipperary (5f, soft) 18 days ago. Lots to find.
12/1, promising fourth of 12 in maiden here (6.4f, heavy) on debut 9 days ago, finishing well. Trainer in good form so he's sure to be in the mix with more to come.
Twice-raced colt. Cheekpieces on, only seventh of 10 in maiden at Naas (5f, good, 66/1) 34 days ago. Blinkered now and plenty to find on form.
Twice-raced gelding. 100/1, fourteenth of 18 in novice at Leopardstown (7f, good) 12 days ago. Hard to make a case for.
β¬1,200 yearling, Morpheus gelding. Half-brother to 5f winner Lady Quickstep. Dam 7f maiden. Pedigree offers some hopo but yard not renowned for its debut winners.
100/1, never-dangerous seventh of 16 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good) on debut 37 days ago. Should progress but he needs to if he's to trouble the principals.
Failed to build on promising debut third at Naas when (9/2) only fifth of 13 in maiden at Tipperary (5f, soft) 18 days ago. Stable in good form so not written off yet with step up to 6f sure to suit.
Being brought along steadily, and not given hard time of it when eighth of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (6f, 66/1) 10 days ago. Sort to do better in longer term.
β¬1,000 yearling, Vocalised filly. Dam unraced out of useful 2-y-o 1m winner Wild Heaven. Cheaply-bought yearling but in excellent hands so newcomer is not discounted.
Forecasts
Prairie Dancer (1/1), Urban Step (7/2), Huddle Up (9/2), Captain Middleton (12/1), Slan Tamall (16/1), Massaman (18/1), Brosna Empress (25/1), Bramble Sand (25/1), Dixon Line (33/1), One Smart Cookie (50/1), Dreams Delivered (66/1), Lord Dudley (80/1), Rich Law No Law (125/1)
PRAIRIE DANCER showed plenty on his recent debut when fourth here so looks the way to go with improvement very much on the cards. Urban Step couldn't build on his encouraging first effort but should find this 6f trip to his liking so rates the chief threat, while Captain Middleton is an interesting newcomer for the Gordon Elliott yard so worth monitoring in the betting.
