Twenty runs since last win in 2017. 40/1, last of 9 in handicap at this course (7.2f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Plenty to prove at present.
9/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, eighth of 10 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, firm) 12 days ago, doing too much too soon. Definite chance off this mark if able to bounce back.
10/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 11 days ago. In good form prior to that and each-way claims with forecast quicker ground here a plus.
14/1, creditable third of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Down another 1 lb and he's not without hope.
Eighth of 11 in handicap (28/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 12 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Will need to leave that effort well behind if he's to have a say in the finish here.
Seventh of 10 in handicap (16/1) at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Others look stronger.
Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, first run since leaving Jedd O'Keeffe when eleventh of 12 in handicap at Haydock (7f, good) 76 days ago. Best to look elsewhere.
C&D winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in February. 11/1, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap back here (heavy) 19 days ago, closing all way to line. One to consider.
7/1, only eighth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 20 days ago and he's readily passed over.
C&D winner. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Leicester (6f, good to firm, 11/2) 14 days ago. Should make his presence felt.
Creditable fifth of 12 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 4/1) 41 days ago, not ideally placed. Merits respect but fact that he's 0-15 on turf tempers enthusiasm.
Cheekpieces on for 1st time, respectable sixth of 10 in handicap (10/1) at Newcastle (5f) 22 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time and headgear will need to have a positive effect if she's to take this.
Eleven runs since last win in 2019. 16/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good) 13 days ago. Blinkers back on and certainly capable off this mark if on a going day.
40/1, good second of 8 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 30 days ago. That was by far his best effort yet on turf and he has to enter calculations.
Latest win at Yarmouth in June. Ninth of 13 in handicap at Pontefract (5f, good, 16/1) 32 days ago. That run can be overlooked and he merits consideration on earlier form.

Forecasts
Be Proud (9/2), Normandy Barriere (11/2), Mr Wagyu (13/2), Erich Bloch (7/1), Galloway Hills (7/1), Chookie Dunedin (8/1), Jordan Electrics (8/1), Wadi Al Salaam (10/1), Black Friday (11/1), Nubough (12/1), Queen Of Kalahari (12/1), Rum Runner (12/1), Lezardrieux (16/1), Nordic Fire (22/1), Where's Mick (28/1), Barbarella (40/1), Al Qahwa (66/1)
The vote goes to CHOOKIE DUNEDIN, who shaped as though his turn may well be near when fourth over C&D 19 days ago. Wadi Al Salaam took a significant step forward when hitting the crossbar at Doncaster and he is a much-respected main danger. Normandy Barriere and Mr Wagyu are others to consider.
- CHOOKIE DUNEDIN
- WADI AL SALAAM (IRE)
- NORMANDY BARRIERE (IRE)
