Well held in maiden/novice events on Flat for George Scott. Bettered inauspicious hurdles debut display when fourth of 7 at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good) recently but looks vulnerable all the same.
Made the frame all 3 AW starts on Flat in Ireland but well held sole turf start on the level, and didn't show much switched to hurdles for new connections last month.
Fairly useful form on Flat for Jim Bolger in Ireland and experience gained on recent debut in this sphere at Cartmel won't be wasted on him. Cheekpieces refitted and he's open to improvement.
Modest maiden on the Flat but positive start to hurdles career when runner-up at Cartmel (17.2f, good to soft) where Fraterculus was back in fourth. Should make a bold bid to go one better here.
Cokoriko gelding. Dam French maiden bumper. Worth a second look in the betting on debut.
Well held in minor events on Flat and fared little better on recent hurdles debut.
Winless following 11 attempts on the level but placed on several occasions, including when third in 1¼m Windsor handicap last month. Claims if jumping/stamina passes the test now tackling hurdles.
Showed ability during 2-y-o campaign for Roger Varian but efforts for new yard on Flat this year have been poor. Hood applied for this hurdles debut and hard to know what to expect.
Barely beat a rival home in 5 starts on Flat and it's hard to envisage her making an impact on this hurdling bow.
Forecasts
Global Agreement (11/10), Fraterculus (11/2), Hipster Macalo (6/1), Utopian Lad (8/1), Billy The Squid (9/1), Topkapi Star (11/1), Dutch Admiral (14/1), Unbridled Light (40/1), Navajo Eagle (125/1)
A chance is taken on UTOPIAN LAD, who posted one of his better efforts on the level at Windsor last month and starts out over hurdles here at a realistic level. Global Agreement was a fair way ahead of fourth-placed Fraterculus when runner-up on debut in this sphere at Cartmel and he is a much-respected main danger.
