Zoffany gelding who confirmed Newmarket debut promise when landing an 8-runner Yarmouth novice (1m) last month, albeit still learning on the job. Very much the type to progress further and respected.
Evens, built on debut promise when landing 10f novice at Redcar in good style 20 days ago. Still green but plenty to like about how he saw his race out. He's another expected to go on improving.
$190,000 yearling, Temple City colt. Brother to winner abroad and useful 6.5f-1m winner Malibu Stacy. Dam US 6f-1¼m (US Grade 2) winner. Interesting newcomer and the betting should guide.
Showed a bit amidst inexperience on Bath debut (1m) in June but unable to build on that upped in trip at Windsor (10f) subsequently. Rates a likely type for handicaps on balance.
Shamardal colt who showed promise whilst highlighting the run will bring him on when 6 lengths fourth of 9 on debut in a Windsor maiden (1m) in June. Represents top yard and he should improve.
Oasis Dream colt. Dam, 11f-1¾m winner (third in Ormonde Stakes), out of unraced half-sister to very smart 11f-2¾m winner San Sebastian. Appeals on paper for top yard and worth a check in the betting.
Nathaniel filly. Sister to winner up to 1¼m Isles of Wolves. Dam, useful French 1¼m winner, half-sister to very smart 9f/1¼m winner Loup Breton. Betting should unearth some clues.
Le Havre filly who is bred to be useful and hinted at ability when keeping on gradually to finish midfield in a 10f Lingfield maiden 12 days ago. Entitled to improve with that under her belt.
€130,000 yearling, Siyouni filly. Closely related to 2-y-o 7.5f winner Lady Ascot and half-sister to 3 winners, including useful 11f-13f winner Rare Groove. Market should prove a useful guide.
Mukhadram filly. Closely related to 1m-9f winner Samardal and half-sister to several winners, including 11f winner Samuraj and 9f-11.5f winner Sarayu.
Forecasts
Piranesi (10/11), Without A Fight (3/1), Shamaroon (13/2), Daysan (8/1), Stratacaster (16/1), Rome Imperial (25/1), Samaritaine (28/1), Irene's Dream (33/1), Kaleidoscopic (66/1), Jen's Fella (80/1)
PIRANESI confirmed his Newmarket debut promise when getting off the mark at Yarmouth late last month, that despite leaving the impression he was still learning on the job. Further progress beckons on that evidence and he earns the vote to defy a penalty up in trip. Similar comments apply to Without A Fight who is next best, ahead of Shamaroon and newcomer Daysan.
