Posted another good effort on the figures when ½-length second of 5 over C&D 2 weeks ago, but again unable to settle matters having seemed to have the measure of the winner.
Made up into a fairly useful juvenile hurdler last winter, winning twice, including a listed fillies event at Aintree. Ran below form on final start in this sphere but remains low mileage.
Dual 10f winner in 2019 and is going the right way this year, unlucky not to finish a bit closer when third in 16-runner contest at Sandown (10f) 23 days ago. One to be interested in again.
Not disgraced after 4 months off when third of 9 on the Rowley course in June, but made little impression in a better race at Kempton last time. Cheekpieces on for the 1st time.
Added to his novice win in January when shading tight finish on Kempton handicap debut in June. Has run below form both starts since, though was possibly unsuited by conditions last time.
Improved on the back of a gelding operation when opening account on Doncaster handicap debut in June, but his attitude has held him back subsequently. Back down in trip in first-time blinkers now.
Sharper for fitting of blinkers in handicaps, getting off the mark at Redcar (10f) in June, and found only a rapid improver too good upped another 4f in trip at Haydock since. Well respected.
Built on previous promise to get off the mark on Yarmouth handicap debut (11.5f, good to firm) 14 days ago, well on top finish. One to take seriously.
Forecasts
Boss Power (85/40), Indigo Lake (9/2), Knowing (11/2), Zuba (7/1), Midnights' Gift (8/1), Night Bear (8/1), To Nathaniel (11/1), Allegiant (40/1)
BOSS POWER improved plenty to make a winning handicap debut at Yarmouth recently, and with the timefigure providing substance to the performance, he looks one to keep on the right side of for a while yet. Night Bear found only a rapid improver too good at Haydock, and promises to be well suited by this trip, so he's well respected, as is Knowing, who was unlucky not to finish closer at Newbury.
