Fluffed the start latest and also dangerous to read too much into his second-place finish at Leicester in June as he was beaten 9½L at the line. He's fully 25lb below his last winning mark but can't be recommended without trepidation at present.
Has won over C&D but the majority of his course form is uninspiring and has been registered over shorter distances. Possible the return to 7f will prompt a determined effort but he's yet to shine for his current yard and makes limited appeal
Kept on in determined fashion at Ayr last week and won well despite the awkward appearance of a high head carriage; astetics aside, that was easily his best effort to date and created the hope of more to come. A 6lb penalty might not stop him.
Hasn't seen action since October 2018 and has changed yards in the intervening period. Well handicapped on past form but too much guesswork involved to forward any sort of recommendation.
Went close in a 7f handicap at Goodwood in June (form franked since) and would have solid claims if able to run to the same level (is on the same mark at least). Two poor efforts since temper the confidence, though.
Still has some scope but took a step backwards at Yarmouth last month, was well beaten from an early stage that day, and comes here with a bit to prove. The big drop in trip is a further concern.
Good effort when third of nine over C&D last week and likely to be in the mix if able to run to the same level in what, if anything, is a weaker race. One to seriously consider.
Has some decent form on the Fibresand and hinted at a return to form when fourth of 12 at Yarmouth last month. 2lb lower here but lacks experience on Tapeta so does have a bit to prove nonetheless.
Polytrack winner over this trip last August but heavy on defeats in the intervening period. On a career lowest mark as a result but still has something to prove now back up in trip.
Easy winner here last time (comfortably held Deeds Not Words who runs in the previous race) and must enter calculations from just a 2lb higher mark (the rider easily negates that with his 5lb claim). A prime candidate again at this level.
0-6 so far and not seen since finishing down the field in a Class 6 handicap at Thirsk last September. However, his yard can have one ready and the gelding has AW winners in his pedigree, so he's still worth a betting check at least.

Forecasts
Joe's Way (3/1), Light Lily (7/2), Grace Plunkett (9/2), Purbeck Hills (6/1), Creek Harbour (10/1), Chiarodiluna (11/1), Giant Steps (11/1), Vincenzo Coccotti (20/1), Divine Queen (20/1), Mudawwan (28/1), Mr Gus (28/1), Isabella Mayson (80/1)
JOE'S WAY and Grace Plunkett look the two most likely to head the field and, given the manner of the former's success at Ayr last week, he shouldn't be too troubled by the imposition of the mandatory 6lb penalty if he handles the switch in surfaces. His yard is firing in winners with regularity at the moment and any hints from the betting market might be worth following here. Grace Plunkett also won well last time and is the obvious danger, while Giant Steps also showed improvement latest and he too merits a betting check at least.
