A cosy winner on debut at Lingfield (6f, standard) in June before being pitched at the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot; wasn't a factor that day, but this is a big drop in grade; gelded since Ascot and highly respected for an in-form yard.
120,000 gns yearling, he's a half-brother to a German winner over 1m1f/1m3f; but his dam won over this trip on the AW during her time in racing. Yard has been buoyant about the quality of its youngsters this year; must be checked out.
€70,000 yearling that is a half-brother to 1m winners in the USA; made a pleasing start at Windsor (6f, good to soft) and can be a player if adapting to this new surface. Jockey booking boosts the appeal further.
Cost £65,000 as a yearling, he was a well held third of 9 on debut at Hamilton in June but the form has been boosted since; and his yard remains in good form having struck with another 2-Y-O over the weekend. Well worth considering.
Well held in both previous starts and now has something to prove; possible a longer trip will be more suitable for him once he goes handicapping.
Went for €50,000 as a yearling but debut run left a lot to be desired. Might do better now he's got the benefit of experience but he needs a big step forward.
A half-brother to four winners (between 5f and an extended mile); his dam also won over 7f but was herself out of a winner over this trip. Worth a second look in the betting but more than likely he'll come on for the run.
Slow to start in both previous outings and yet to trouble the judge as a result. Yard yet again has a healthy strike-rate at present but it might be prudent to give this filly a little more time before expecting her to boost the statistics.
€78,000 yearling from a yard that has enjoyed a highly profitable period lately. This filly's dam won over 6f on the AW and is a half-sister to 7f Listed race winner Yaa Wayl; market support would be significant.
Slow to stride and finished last of 10 on debut at Lingfield last month; was very well backed that day so possible something was amiss. The market can guide again here.
Well held in a fillies only maiden at Newbury last month but should be more attuned to what is expected from her; she ran very green that day so does need to have picked up on significant hints. Much more needed this time.

Forecasts
Boogie Time (2/1), Igotatext (5/2), Blue Hero (10/3), Operatic (7/1), Arqoob (10/1), Baileys Breathless (25/1), Gosnay Gold (25/1), Typical Man (40/1), Whatitizz (40/1), Eminent Victory (125/1), Mawgan Porth (150/1), Resolute Lass (250/1)
An interesting race for future reference if nothing else; but three winners have come out of the Lingfield maiden won by IGOTATEX and he could easily resume winning ways now that his sights have been lowered after his modest exploits at Royal Ascot. This is obviously a lot easier and he may well be able to give weight and a beating to the rest at this level. Boogie Time has also shaped with promise and is worth bearing in mind as an alternative, while Blue Hero and Arqoob are a couple of potentially smart types that represent powerful connections and are others to bear in mind.
- Igotatext
- Boogie Time
- Blue Hero
