Belated first racecourse appearance for £1,000 gelded son of Mazameer out of Greek maiden. Makes little appeal on paper and appears to face a stiff task.

Pivotal colt out of decent 7f winner. Faield by just a head to make winning debut over 5f at Chepstow in June then second of last time at Bath over same trip. First-time cheekpieces added and won't be far away if headgear does the trick.

Six-race maiden but has generally run with credit all five starts so far this season including failing by just half a length here over 6f in June. Bit disappointing when odds-on and only third at Ripon 6f latest. Drop in trip may be the right move.

Ran well enough both starts here in June and may not have seen it out over 6f last time when fading inside final furlong to finish fifth. Has plenty to find on official figures though and place may be best she can hope for.

Showcasing newcomer out of 7f Listed winner so looks the part on paper, especially at this level. Wouldn't have to be a star to go very close on debut so signs of market confidence would enhance prospects. Yard has 15% strike-rate here with 3yos.

Forecasts

Royal Appointment (6/4), Vitare (2/1), Ice Station Zebra (5/2), Final Deal (18/1), Kylla Looks (25/1), No More Promises (125/1)

Verdict

ROYAL APPOINTMENT was slightly disappointing at Bath last time but did enough the time before to suggest he can win at this level. First-time cheekpieces are now applied and they may make all the difference. Newcomer Ice Station Zebra could well be good enough to make her presence felt and is bred to be decent. It would not surprise to see her go close, while Vitare has shown enough to suggest he will pick up a race sooner rather than later. Kylla Looks is not out of it back at 5f having faded late at Yarmouth 6f last time.
