Galileo filly out of an Oratorio mare. 50-1 on debut at the Curragh (7f, yld) in June, where she was never a threat, but at the same time ran with a modicum of promise. Can continue her education here.
Galileo filly out of a Storm Cat, and sister to two Group 1 winners. 12-1 on debut at the Curragh (7f, gd-yld) in a fillies' maiden last month, where she showed promise and was 3½L fourth. If building on that she should be a contender.
Filly by Dawn Approach, out of an unraced Lawman mare. 14-1 on debut at Leopardstown (7f, good) last month, when she got upset in the stalls beforehand. 4L fifth was not a bad effort considering that, and she could get involved.

Has run well on both starts, despite being a beaten odds-on favourite at Roscommon last time, when perhaps she didn't improve as much as had been anticipated. Heavy ground a possible excuse there, but no surprise if she goes one better.

Sea The Stars filly who went off at 9-1 on debut at the Curragh (7f, gd-yld) last month, when showing promise in finishing just over 4L behind the winner. Should improve for that experience and is one of several possible players here.
Second foal of a maiden over 6f-1m3f, closely related to 7f 2yo Group 1 winner Beethoven, and half-sister to Listed-placed 1m winner North Face. In good hands, so check out the market for clues on her debut.

850,000gns yearling by Frankel out of a Cape Cross mare who won in France over 7f/1m1f. Half-sister to 1m-1m6f winner Santiago (inc. Irish Derby). Bred in the purple and ought to be able to give a good account on debut.
Frankel filly out of a Kingmambo mare. Closely related to two winners at around 1m2f, and half-sister to three other winners, including a Group 3. Dam a German group winner. Nice pedigree and worth a market check.

Fourth foal; half-sister to a 2m hurdle winner. Dam placed over 1m4f (AW). Others make greater appeal on pedigree or through experience.

Forecasts

Divinely (3/1), Light Of My Eyes (3/1), April Showers (10/3), Emaniya (11/2), Ahandfulofsummers (11/1), La Joconde (11/1), Emphatic Answer (14/1), Beagnach Sasta (16/1), Perilous (200/1)

Verdict

An interesting opener with some top stables represented. The standout on pedigree is La Joconde, though stablemate DIVINELY has experience on her side and can probably make that count. With the promising Donnacha O'Brien-trained April Showers and the Joseph O'Brien-trained Emphatic Answer also making appeal on pedigree, plus the likes of Emaniya and newcomer Light Of My Eyes in the field, this could prove informative.
  1. Divinely
  2. April Showers
  3. La Joconde
