Shock winner at 33-1 on Fibresand (final run as a 2yo) having the profile of one who would do better at three. Not quite hit expected level of form as yet upped in trip to 12f on both handicap turf starts, returns to AW (cheekpieces on first-time).
Upped to 10f, switched to the AW saw him win on Polytrack in January but he's not really gone on from that success in two subsequent handicap turf starts (both over further). Below-par last time (not ideally placed), more needed now.
Didn't need to improve to score in minor company when opening her account at Haydock (11.8f) with her main rival disappointing. Given a fairly stiff mark for her handicap debut she came up well short at Ripon (12.1f) last time, first-time on AW.
Consistent enough should appreciate a return to a longer trip having looked one-paced over 1m last time (wore first-time blinkers). Now tried in a visor first-time for fourth try in a handicap switching back to AW, may need an ease in the weights.
Polytrack winner over 12f who ran well below-par on his first run back from wind surgery at Newmarket last time (faded very quickly). Needs to bounce back quickly although this mark now looks stiff enough, runs here for the first time.
Handicap debutant whose form such as it is looks rather dubious so far having failed to repeat his best effort last time. One previous try on the AW (on debut) he'll need to make some substantial progress to get involved.
Still looks a work in progress at staying trips having been almost knocked over when rallying at Yarmouth (11.5f) last time. Remains open to progress given his earlier performances over staying trips off a workable mark.
Produced his best effort last time when third in a Beverley (12.1f) handicap looking as though he would sharpen up for the run having had a five-month break. Has failed to show his form twice over this trip and shorter which introduces doubts.
Forecasts
En Famille (10/3), Dreaming Blue (4/1), Escalade (9/2), Billhilly (9/2), Choral Work (9/2), Elham Valley (14/1), Cottonopolis (16/1), Inky Blinder (33/1)
Several of these should appreciate this trip and further with DREAMING BLUE looking for compensation for a luckless and horrible passage last time at Yarmouth. Nearly knocked over in the closing stages if that incident hasn’t left its mark then he still well enough handicapped to land this. Escalade looks a danger in first-time cheekpieces having already finished ahead of the disappointing Choral Work last time at Ripon having still looked to be work in progress. En Famille will appreciate a return to this trip but does look in the handicappers grasp while Cottonopolis has to put behind him two poor previous runs here.
