35,000gns yearling. By Golden Horn. Dam won over 7f. Could play a major role on debut for powerhouse yard. Market vibes likely to prove significant.
First-time hood goes on as he makes his seasonal return to action. Not seen since being tailed off on debut when way too keen at Kempton (1m; standard) in November. Huge amount to prove off the back of that & is best watched.
£15,000 yearling by Fountain Of Youth. Gelded ahead of debut. Half-brother to three winners including connections' 6f-7f AW winner Lucymai. Not certain to get 1m2f & likely to be of more significant interest once gaining handicap mark in future.
Beat all bar an impressive odds-on shot (4/5f) who had the benefit of experience when second at Windsor (1m2f; good to firm) last month. Related to a couple of smart sorts & should make bold bid to go one better on AW debut.
Stepped forward from low-key run on debut to finish fourth at Chelmsford (1m; standard) last time out. That form has been boosted by the third & this extra 2f could eke out more from him. Market check advised as he returns from 270-day break.
Finished five-length adrift of three likeable types when fourth on debut at Doncaster (1m2f; good to soft). Drew four-length clear of the remainder of the field himself so it was an eye-catching run & there should be a lot more to come.
$95,000 yearling. AW should suit given his dirt pedigree. By Declaration Of War. Half-brother to three winners & respected on debut for connections. Market can guide as to his chances.
Two duck eggs beside her name after finishing tailed off on each start so far. Likely to be a big price once again. Could offer more once switched to handicaps but look elsewhere for the time being.
Posted quiet effort on debut when sixth at Wolverhampton (7f; standard) in December. Now makes seasonal return after subsequent 245-day break. Needs to show more but that is possible with the yard currently enjoying a tremendous time of things.
35,000gns yearling. By Le Havre. Dam won over 7f. Connections have done well with Cairn Gorm who is unbeaten (3-3) & was well supported on debut. Thus, a market check is required with this one.
Sent off at 100-1 on both starts at the backend of last year over 1m when well beaten on both occasions. Likely to be a similar story again now and others make far greater appeal.
Steps up markedly in trip after finishing down the field in a pretty weak maiden at Windsor (6f; good to firm) on debut. Not seen for a year since, and best watched on seasonal debut.

John Locke (6/5), Systemic (9/4), Faisal (4/1), Kaleidoscopic (17/2), Coppergate Wunder (16/1), Spanish Kiss (18/1), Victory Won (25/1), Goldie Hawk (50/1), Grandbob (200/1), Sahhab (250/1), Gloriano (300/1), Mazekine (500/1), American Pie (500/1)
The obvious one to start with is John Locke who lost little in defeat when second to a potentially talented sort on debut at Windsor. He should go close as he switches to the AW but preference is for SYSTEMIC. The selection displayed signs of greenness on debut when staying on late in the day to finish comfortably clear of the field when fourth behind three above-average types. He is likely to be much straighter now & can confirm the promise he showed on that occasion. There are a couple of newcomers in this who make appeal on paper such as Faisal & Victory Won while Spanish Kiss could run into a place if able to show the same progress he did last time.
- Systemic
- John Locke
- Faisal
