Very little progress from first to second run although went with a little more fluency last time out upped to 6f. Gets a further rise in distance now but will need to show some rapid improvement if he's to be competitive here.

Upped in trip to 7f last time at Catterick, left his debut form well behind although was rather worried out of things near the finish by the winner. Yard's 2yo's are running a lot better now; ought to be able to make the most of a good opportunity.
Given his pedigree he was a relatively cheap purchase but was far too green on his Catterick 5f debut to show anything of note. Slow away he was always behind, tough to see him improving enough here up 2f in trip.

Cheap €2,000 yearling by Swiss Spirit who offered little on his Thirsk 6f debut, slowly away he was driven along at halfway, finishing well held. Would need to have made rapid improvement to get involved stepping up in trip.

Showed some ability/enthusiasm on debut at Lingfield/AW (7f) with the trip just looking to test him at this stage. Ran well enough at Wolverhampton last time (4-6f) over 7.2f, had to work hard to get a position, still learning, capable of better.

Would look the second choice from this yard having made her debut over C7D recently. Not bred to need this sort of trip she only ran to a modest level, run ought to bring her on, may well do better returned to a shorter trip.

Only newcomer in the field, yard 0-7 with 2yo debutants this year (2-18 with 2yo's). €22,000 yearling, third foal, dam unraced sister to 5f 2yo winner Snow Angel, closely related to Listed-placed 5f AW 2yo winner Snowflake Dancer, market to guide.

Bred for longer trips than she's started her career at twice being well beaten over 7f at Redcar and Catterick, slow away on both occasions. Made no impression on either start and very much one for the longer term.

Forecasts

Master Of Brazil (7/4), Brazen Prince (5/2), Tetragonal (7/2), Sadie's Day (5/1), High Applause (22/1), Hooves Like Jagger (28/1), Alive Wire (28/1), Make A Spark (200/1)

Verdict

This looks a fairly weak event with most of those with experience having little solid form or showing any sign of making significant progress. BRAZEN PRINCE knew what was required last time and nearly put the experience gained on his debut to good use showing that he stayed this trip fully and could go one better here. Master Of Brazil beaten at odds-on last time on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton over this sort of trip wasn’t disgraced there despite only finishing third having had the worst of the draw. Would have met the selection at Catterick last time but for bursting out the stalls and being withdrawn. Newcomer Tetragonal wouldn’t need to that good to take a hand versus the two principals.
  1. Brazen Prince
  2. Master Of Brazil
  3. Tetragonal
