Class 5  |   5f  |   Good (Good to Firm in places)  |   12 Runners  |   Turf

Weighed In

Off time: 13:33  |   Winning time: 1m 3.1s

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: Rachel Richardson |  T: T D Easterby

Very green on debut at Pontefract (6f, good) when only beating two home, failed to show any progress over the same trip at Catterick last time. One of three from the stable, wide draw makes life difficult, likely to be nursery bound after this.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: B A Curtis |  T: K R Burke

Newcomer, £22,000 yearling, second foal, closely related to 5f winner Tomahawk Ridge); dam 5f-7f winner (including at two) out of sister to 6f winner Clever Myth, decent pedigree, tough draw though for a debutant, yard 2-28 with debutants this year.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: Rowan Scott |  T: N Tinkler

Stable 4-30 with 2yo's this year, 40-1 on debut when given a considerate introduction, faded to finish sixth at York over 6f in a minor event. Looks the type to improve, half-brother to several winners, will have benefitted from the experience.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4  |  J: J Garritty |  T: R A Fahey

Horrible draw for a newcomer widest of all especially with the yard picking up with their newcomers of late. €20,000 yearling, first foal, dam unraced half-sister to French 7.5f/1m2f AW winner Giantissime, one to watch for the future.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: Nathan Evans |  T: B Smart

Withdrawn on intended previous debut (upset in stalls), £13,000 yearling, sixth foal, half-brother to 2yo winner 5f winner (stayed 7f) Sir Roger Moore and 10.5f winner Modric. Dam maiden, yard 1-6 with 2yo newcomers this year (2-10 with 2yo's).

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: Kevin Stott |  T: P T Midgley

Stable not known for their 2yo's (2-12 this year), ran to just a modest level on debut over 5f at Pontefract, slow away, merely passed beaten horses to finish fifth. Should have benefitted from that experience, well drawn here, sets modest standard.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: Phil Dennis |  T: T D Easterby|  OR: 25

Shown very little so far in three starts at up to 6f in novice/maiden company losing his place very easily at Catterick last time back at 5f. One of three that the stable run but hard to construct a case for him on the what he's shown so far.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2  |  J: Ben Robinson |  T: Ollie Pears

One of two that the yard run in this, £5,000 yearling (cheap, looking at the pedigree), far too free on debut at Thirsk over 6f. Weakened from halfway, only beat one home, ought to do better but not one to be overly confident about.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-13  |  J: Harrison Shaw |  T: Ollie Pears

One of six newcomers, price dropped dramatically from foal (€58,000) to £14,00 as 2yo (Breeze-Up purchase). Second foal; dam a maiden stayed 7.5f, yard 0-52 with debutantes over the past five years.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-12  |  J: D Tudhope |  T: D O'Meara

Sepoy filly from a yard who have a decent chance via Bamby Splishsplash, this one gets the assistance of Danny Tudhope. First foal, dam 2yo 5f winner, interesting to see what the market makes of the stable duo given the riding arrangements.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11  |  J: D Allan |  T: T D Easterby

The only debutant of the three this yard run (0-21 with 2yo newcomers this year), €4,500 yearling, first foal. Dam, unraced half-sister to smart US Grade 3 1m winner All Included, runner-up in US Grade 19f event, watching brief unless supported.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11  |  J: P Mathers |  T: I Furtado

Pedigree is as modest as her form so far offering very little immediate encouragement on her AW/Kempton 6f debut. Failed to match that display last time over the same C&D, needs this run for a handicap mark.

Noorban (5/2), Enderman (3/1), Sound Of Dubai (11/2), Mr Lauda (8/1), Bamby Splishsplash (9/1), Naughty Ana (11/1), Billian (12/1), Truth In Jest (14/1), Krystal Maze (25/1), Silver Screen Star (66/1), Maximum Risk (66/1), Red Headed Tiger (100/1), Oasis Boy (200/1)

Not an enormous amount of strength in depth amongst those that have run with the well-drawn Enderman setting what looks a modest standard based on his modest fifth at Pontefract on debut. The wonderfully named Bamby Splishsplash paid the price for trying to match strides with the winner over C&D last time and could well have more to offer having shown good speed. However the other O’Meara runner, newcomer NOORBAN out of a mare the same trainer/jockey partnership were associated with on her only start (a Doncaster 5f win) is nicely berthed to make a winning debut. Sound Of Dubai and Mr Lauda are two other newcomers worth noting although the draw looks to have made their task more difficult.
