Some promise when firfth in bumper on debut but then ran poorly in similar event in February. Returned under Flat rules at Pontefract last month and gave trouble at stalls prior to distant seventh. Much more needed here.

Dark Angel half-sister to 7f Group 3 winner and six other winners at up to 1m4f. Well beaten on debut at Newmarket 1m in June but took step forward when keeping on into fourth over 1m2f over C&D latest. Bold show anticipated.

Nathaniel filly who ran just once last season for Ed Walker finishing 11th of 14 over 1m at Kempton in December. Bought by current connections for just 2,500gns last month and has plenty to find on debut for current handler.

105,000 No Nay Never filly, half-sister to talented Group 3 1m1f winner Master Carpenter. Good second on debut 1m2f at Yarmouth last month but only 7th of 16 over C&D last time and need to leave that behind here if she is to figure.

By Zoffany out of 1m5f French winner. Not disgraced but hasn't shown enough in two outings so far to suggest she'll score here. Looks one for handicaps later in the campaign.

Stable companion of Besides. 8,000gns Mukhadram filly out of dam placed between 1m3f-1m7f. Tailed off last of nine on debut in decent Newbury 1m2f maiden in June and may need more time and a longer trip.

Stable companion of Dirty Diana. Daughter of Footstepsinthesand who has been well held in both runs so far and appears to face another stiff task here.

Passing Glance filly out of a 2m hurdle winner. Led to 3f out over 1m here last time before dropping away and despite longer trip will surely find quite a few of these too pacey where it matters most.
100,000gns Lope De Vega half-sister to French 9.5f-12.5f winner and a winning 2m1f hurdler. Yard in decent form has 15% strike-rate here with 3yo's so well worth checking for any market support on debut.

Dansili filly out of 1m3f winner and related to four middle-distance winners. Weakened 2f out on debut at Yarmouth 1m2f in June but not disgraced. Should have come on for that and may do better this time.
47,500 euros daughter of Gio Ponti, closely related to nine winners including Group 1 5f sprinter Benbaun. Yard ticking over at present has 16% strike-rate with 3yo's at this venue so not without inetrest on racecourse bow.

Cityscape filly out of poor 1m4f maiden. Makes little appeal on racecourse bow and will surely do better over further in less testing company.

$75,000 US bred daughter of The Factor out of stakes placed US miler. Ran fine race on debut at Meydan in February when finished well beaten neck into second place in 1m1f maiden. Returns following 156-day break but should be thereabouts.
Debut for filly by Bated Breath of 7f AW winner. Stable not known for first-time-out winners so wil do well to figure in the finish and may well improve for the outing.

Forecasts

Rose Grey (9/5), Arabian Romance (5/2), Angel Fairy (9/2), Prosili (11/2), Jacinta De Vega (8/1), Sri Sene Power (12/1), Reality Of Dreams (22/1), Besides (40/1), Dirty Diana (50/1), Under Your Breath (100/1), Candlemas (125/1), Ros's Dream (125/1), Fulbeck Girl (150/1), Hy Eales (150/1), Appletart (200/1)

Verdict

Not the strongest of course novice events so a chance for ROSE GREY, who went close on debut over 1m1f at Meydan during the winter, to get off the mark at just the second time of asking. Angel Fairy appears to be the main danger after taking a nice step forward in finishing fourth over C&D last time, getting the hang of things late on. Arabian Romance made a decent start when second at Yarmouth but ran poorly here a fortnight ago. It's too early to rule her out and she might bounce back, while of the newcomers Jacinta De Vega and Reality Of Dreams represent powerful yards and wouldn't have to be superstars to figure.
  1. Rose Grey
  2. Angel Fairy
  3. Jacinta De Vega
