Probably needed the run when eased down to be well-beaten on firs start for almost two years at Gowran Park (1m1f; good). Now tries 7f but it is nigh on impossible to say anything positive about her.

Impossible to recommend after she failed to beat a single rival when an eased down last of 18 at the Curragh (1m; yielding) on her return to action last month. Hasn't really offered any promise at all in four career starts.

Five-year-old must concede weight on debut as she makes belated racecourse debut. By Approve and a half-sister to 5f/6f winner Polly Douglas. Doesn't make masses of appeal on paper so is best watched.

Back at 7f now after recently failing to reproduce the form she showed on debut when fourth (half-length behind Soinenanta) at Gowran Park (7f; soft to heavy). Stable could be in better form and others have more proven form.

Competitive on all four career starts last year, including when runner-up to subsequent Prix De Diane/Nassau Stakes winner Fancy Blue over C&D. However, she ran nowhere near that level on her comeback run at the Curragh (1m; good) when 15th of 17.

Gutaifan filly. Makes debut for yard whose latest runner was a winner. Half-sister to two winners including Lady Crossmar (6f/7f winner). Market check advised in what looks an open contest.

Makes her seasonal reappearance and wasn't far behind Soinenanta (2nd) when fourth at Leopardstown (7f; soft to heavy) on debut (winner now rated 99). Entitled to improve past that rival now given she is far less exposed. Could play a part.

Yet to kick on from improved showing on seasonal return to action. Returns to 7f for the first time since last year with her yard enjoying a fine time of things over the past two weeks (4-13; 31% strike-rate).
Gleneagles filly. €40,000 yearling. Half-sister to a 1m2f winner in Poland out of a mare who is an unraced half-sister to a 1m1f Group One winner. Should have a future but hard to see her causing the leading contenders too much trouble.

Failed to show any improvement for the step up in trip/eight-month break when filling the same position she did on debut when 10th over C&D in June. Very difficult to enthuse over on what she has shown so far.

By Red Jazz. Half sister to 6f/7f winner Dandys Gold. Stable don't tend to have winning newcomers & they aren't in the best of form so she is easily opposable.

Runner-up to an impressive four-length winner on debut at Dundalk (7f; standard) on debut in December. Form not been particularly well advertised since but she could improve notably on first start for 241-days.

Extremely frustrating sort. First-time blinkers applied after she managed to get beat for the 13th time at Gowran Park (1m; yielding) last time out. Her overall form entitles to be favourite but she drifted alarmingly when last seen.

Some of her better form has come on softer ground. Winless in 10 starts, and while she is consistent she does look vulnerable to improvers. Drops back to 7f after being stretched by 1m last time. Place claims at best.

Sole promising run in short career so far did come over this trip on ground with juice in at the Curragh (7f; soft). Would appreciate any rain that falls her way. Does have her fitness to prove on seasonal debut after 337-day break.

First reserve. Failed to get involved when 150-1 on debut at Limerick (7f; good) and more of the same expected if she gets a run.

Verdict

It is rare for Ballydoyle to use headgear with any of their runners, so it is notable that SO WONDERFUL runs in first-time blinkers. She has been an extremely frustrating sord, & failed to take advantage of the ease in grade when turned over just nine days ago which took her overall record to 0-13. She is far from a confident selection but has been found another good opportunity to shed her maiden tag. It would only take an improver to get the better of her with both Sister Lola & Ediyva fitting that mould after they displayed evident promise on debut. Chasing The Dawn ran well below-par when last seen but her C&D form from last season reads extremely well.
  1. So Wonderful
  2. Sister Lola
  3. Ediyva
