Generally frustrating. Looked to have career back on track when winner at Wolverhampton (1m1f) in June before poor eighth at Salisbury (1m4f) last time. Should be better at this trip but needs a bit more.
Typically runs to his mark and showed well-being when third of 14 in 1m handicap here last month. Will need to prove himself at this trip but makes each-way appeal.
Placed in a few nice handicaps before Pontefract victory two starts ago. Not as good off 5lb higher mark since at Chepstow (1m4f) but return to this trip should help.
Starting to find his feet this season without winning. Ended time at Jed O'Keefe's yard with neck second at Musselburgh (1m1f) in July. Up 3lb on debut for very shrewd yard.
Does manage to win some races but typically not the best at this level, including when 4L sixth in 1m2f Doncaster handicap last month. More is needed to be competitive.
Has a fair few wins at this level next to his name, and returned to winning ways with dour victory over C&D in June. Not seen since and up 6lb but has to be respected.
Came back to form with game third at Doncaster two starts ago before bettering that when runner-up over C&D last month. Treated well in the weights so goes on the shortlist.
Last win came back in October. Had two runner-up efforts in June and July before tame 12th in 1m2f Doncaster handicap last time. Could be in the handicapper's grip.
Had placed on her comeback run at Wolverhampton (1m4f) but failed to fire at Chepstow (1m4f) last time in June. Is capable off this mark however so may be forgiven.
Wolverhampton handicap winner in February and was in good form before bombing out on turf return at Bath (1m2f) last month. This is another step up and faces a stiff task.

The Throstles (3/1), Rudy Lewis (5/1), Makthecat (5/1), Aegeus (11/2), Red Derek (13/2), Embrace The Moment (11/1), Mac Ailey (12/1), Corked (12/1), Cafe Sydney (14/1), Power Player (25/1), Windsorlot (125/1)
Some good C&D form is brought back into this contest, including from Corked, who impressed in a similar handicap last time but has a hefty hike from the handicapper to contend with. Similarly, Red Derek and Makthecat both placed at the Lancashire venue last month and set a solid form standard for this contest. However, preference is for AEGUS to make a winning start for his new yard. His final run for his previous handler suggested that more is to come from him, and certainly fits the type of handicapper his new trainer tends to excel with.
- Aegeus
- Red Derek
- Makthecat
