C&D winner, taking advantage of a much-reduced mark returned to a more suitable trip off the back of a break. Shaped well enough last time although the finishing effort was a little tame (not for the first time), still well handicapped, nicely drawn.
Failed to fire for this yard as yet in three outings running poorly last time at Leicester (8.2f) weakening in the closing stages. First time he's run in this grade, looks well handicapped on his old form if he does come back to life.
Poorly drawn, comes into this off the back of a poor run at Hamilton (8.2f), on the upside she is now running off a career-low mark. Yet to really get going for this yard having only won a 7f maiden on soft in Ireland, others persuade more.
Well below form last time in first-time cheekpieces having looked one of the main dangers in a 10f novice at Windsor. Faded badly in the closing stages, now goes handicapping (headgear retained), reasonably treated, worth noting back to 1m.
Bumped into a couple of well-treated rivals at Bath (1m, firm) prior to winning a Musselburgh 1m handicap, made all. Forged clear. Unable to adopt similar tactics at Hamilton (9.2f, good) last time, finished with running left, sound claims.
Rather unlucky on her 7f handicap debut at Doncaster last time (got no run at a crucial stage), this return to a longer trip looks to be needed. The wide draw isn't helpful though and she may need some luck in-running, features on a good mark.
One of four 3yo's in the field, continued in good heart last time despite failing to complete a hat-trick ay Haydock (8.2f, good/soft), circumstances going against him. Ought to once again give a good performance off 1lb higher, wide draw a negative.
Enters this race with a long losing sequence hanging over him, better form last time aided by another drop in the weights but still finding a win elusive. Off the same mark here but likely to find one or two outbattling him again.
Fibresand form stands out as the best (last three wins on that unique surface), did become rather laboured on last two starts at Southwell. Ran no sort of race at Leicester last time back on turf, evidence would suggest he'll struggle here.
Offered very little on her first outing for this yard having joined from Denis Hogan in Ireland. A career-record on the Flat of 1-31 suggests that she'll struggle to make an impact despite running off a lowly mark, others appeal far more.

As with all races over 1m at Pontefract a wide draw can be difficult to overcome on lots of occasions and two of what should have been the leading players are parked out wide here. Little Ted has fared the worst in the draw lottery and looks to have a stiff task from stall 12 while the Doncaster eye-catcher Isola Bella May is another who isn’t well placed and that puts a dent in her chance. STRIDING EDGE failed to get to the front last time at Hamilton but still suggested there was another win in him if he can get a clear shot at proceedings. Back From Dubai has to be considered now he gets a chance in handicaps while C&D winner Frankelio looks the best of the older brigade.
