This is a significant drop in grade after he finished last of nine in the July Stakes at Newmarket (6f; good to soft). Previous form in maiden/novice company would bring him into this but he has to give weight away all round which won't be easy.
Banished the memory of odds-on defeats on first two career starts on AW when routing her opposition on handicap/turf debut at Redcar on Monday (5f; good to firm). Penalty to defy but extremely difficult to beat if in the same form.
Built upon promising runner-up effort on debut behind Yazaman (favourite for the Richmond Stakes on this card) to justify market support (sent off 5-2f) & go one better at Lingfield (5f; standard to slow). Yard are flying at present (7-17).
Showed 150-1 third at Beverley (5f; good) on debut was no fluke when off the mark at the second attempt at Hamilton (5f; good to soft) earlier this month. Jockey booking catches the eye, and should be competitive on handicap debut.
Contested a pair of strong novice events to date, and gets in this race on handicap debut off a very fair opening mark if he can just find some improvement. Gelding operation and drop to 5f may help with that.
Should be involved to some extent after finishing second on each of her last two starts, but her progress looks to have tailed off. Dangerous to rule out given solid record of the yard at this meeting but others look stronger for win purposes.
Didn't progress as was expected when only third at Bath (5f; firm) last time out, after finishing a promising fourth behind an odds-on shot at Windsor (5f; good to firm). Significantly more needed in this much stronger contest
Turned in a lesser effort when sixth to a subsequent Group Three winner last time out. Previously finished fourth at 50-1 over C&D which suggests she has a future in handicaps but others have shown more up to now.

Forecasts
Winter Power (10/11), Acklam Express (10/3), Golden Bear (13/2), Different Face (9/1), Salsoul (11/1), Rebel At Dawn (16/1), Lothian (33/1), Anjella (50/1), Relative Choice (50/1)
This is all about WINTER POWER who turned her handicap debut into a procession when winning by five-lengths on the bridle at Redcar on Monday. She can cope with the quick turnaround and follow up under a penalty with the minimum of fuss. The likeliest danger looks to be Golden Bear who should appreciate the drop into calmer waters after running in two fairly warm novice events. He has recently been gelded and the drop to this minimum trip could see him find the required improvement. Meanwhile, Different Face confirmed the promise of his debut effort behind the potentially above-average Zamaani when off the mark last time & is likely to be involved on handicap bow too.
