All three wins have come on AW, most recently in Kempton 7f h'cap in Feburary off 1lb lower mark. Hasn't shown much last three starts though and looks to have a bit to find off top weight in first-time cheekpieces.

Landed two Kempton 7f h'caps last year for Charlie Fellowes and got off the mark on turf on second start for current yard when finishing well to win over C&D last time out. 4lb higher but no reason why he shouldn't go well again.

Hinted at ability in eight starts for George Scott but proved generally disappointing. Shaped as though would come on for the run on debut for new connections when sixth of 7 over C&D earlier this month and now 3lb lower.

Won over 5f, 6f and 7f for Paul Howling and scored last time in Leicester 7f h'cap for current yard on first start following wind surgery. Raised 5lb but might have turned the corner now breathing appears to be clear.

Chased home Pentland Lad here last time and has sporting chance of reversing places being 2lb better for three-quarters-of-a-length. Doesn't find winning easy though as 1-18 record demonstrates.

Stable companion of Penarth Pier. Just 3-46 but one of those wins was last time over 6f at Leicester wher got up final stride to score by a nose. 2lb higher but has never really convinced at this furlong longer trip.

C&D winner last August off 51 and now just 1lb higher having been raised 4lb following 1m success here late last month. Goes well at the track and is in form so no reason why she shouldn't be on the premises once again.

Seven of eight wins have come on AW and has modest 1-16 strike-rate on turf but that success came over C&D in autumn 2018 off this mark. Had a spin over a 1m at Kempton recently on first start back and should strip fitter.

2-3 on Fibresand at Southwell but hasn't won anywhere else in 10-race career. Weakened over 1f out over 1m at Bath latest and drop back in trip may help but doesn't jump off the page as a winner-in-waiting.

German-bred filly who showed nothing in two starts last year but did a lot better on recent return when 66/1 third in Newcastle 1m novice event last month. Makes handicp bow here and may well figure if building on latest effort.

Eight wins to date and this previous C&D winner is best suited by this trip. Ran with some promise on first start for seven months here recently and is not out of the reckoning off this lowly mark.

Didn't show much in five starts for Mark Tompkins last season but although beaten quite away put up improved display when third in 1m Leicester handicap last month. May be helped by drop back to 7f but more needed to score.

Forecasts

Holy Tiber (10/3), Spanish Mane (4/1), Pentland Lad (4/1), Hi Ho Silver (6/1), London (7/1), Kraka (11/1), Light Lily (20/1), Ubla (22/1), Velvet Vista (28/1), Gulland Rock (40/1), Alabama Dreaming (40/1), Penarth Pier (50/1)

Verdict

Just a run-of-the-mill 7f handicap but SPANISH MANE won nicely last time and is capable off this kind of mark. She has as good a chance as any in an open affair. There should be little between Pentland Lad and Hi Ho Silver under the revised terms this time, first and second here recently, while despite a 5lb rise Holy Tiber has decent claims after a cosy success at Leicester on her first run since a wind operation. Handicap debutante London is open to improvement and a bold display from her would not be any surprise.
  1. Spanish Mane
  2. London
  3. Holy Tiber
