Impressive 3½L winner of a 1m handicap at Cork (good) earlier this month. Reapplication of blinkers appeared to suit that day and he is one for the shortlist despite a 9lb rise in the weights.
Dual winner in spring last year and placed in Group 3 company 13 months ago. Struggled in two starts since returning from nearly a year off the track but not written off completely with blinkers tried for the first time on handicap debut.
Placed in a maiden hurdle at Roscommon (2m, good) on his penultimate start but finished well beaten back on the Flat in a 1m2f handicap at Navan (yielding) at the start of this month. Cheekpieces tried for the first time.
Stepped up on seasonal debut effort when finishing runner-up in a valuable handicap over 7f at The Curragh (good) just over a month ago. Hood worn for the first time that day is retained stepping back up in distance.
C&D winner recorded his second win in three starts since joining this yard when successful by 2L in a 1m2f handicap at The Curragh (good) at the end of last month. Wide draw to overcome if he's to follow up in this contest.
Good 2L second in a Listed contest over an extended 1m1f at Gowran Park (yielding) on seasonal debut last month. Struggled when last of 12 at Killarney (1m, yielding) subsequently. Others hold more obvious claims.
Performed well on both starts since joining this yard including when winning a valuable 7f event at The Curragh (good) last month. Promising apprentice keeps the ride as he attempts to defy a 10lb rise in the weights.
C&D winner finished a promising 3L fourth on seasonal debut at The Curragh (1m, good-to-firm) last month but disappointed over 1m2f at Navan (yielding) subsequently. Interesting to see how he fares.
Ended his time with Martyn Meade with a heavy defeat in a 1m1f Group 3 event at Newmarket (soft) in October. Blinkers worn for the first time that day are dispensed with down in grade on stable debut.
C&D winner put a disappointing effort behind him when third in a handicap over this trip at Cork (good) earlier this month. Tongue tie worn for the first time that day is joined by cheekpieces (first time) for this race.
Ridden from off the pace prior to finishing 6L sixth in a big field 1m handicap at Cork (good) last time out. Races off a 2lb lower mark here and is an interesting runner in this contest.
Placed on both starts this campaign including when 4L third in a 1m4f Listed race at Roscommon (heavy) last time out. Top jockey in the saddle but has a wide draw to overcome dropping markedly in distance.
Struggled on both starts this campaign including when 14th over 1m2f in a valuable event at Navan (yielding) at the start of this month. Others hold more obvious claims.
Failed to build on a promising second in a 1m handicap at The Curragh (good-to-firm) on stable debut last month in two subsequent starts. Probably best watched at present.
Couple of decent efforts over 1m2f on his two most recent starts including when 3L fourth on yielding ground at Navan at the start of this month. Interesting to see how he fares dropping in trip.
Placed over hurdles earlier this year but struggled in a maiden hurdle at Bellewstown (good) earlier this month when returning from a break. Cheekpieces worn for the first time that day are replaced with blinkers for Flat return.
Maiden winner on soft-to-heavy ground over 7f at Leopardstown last October but has struggled in two subsequent starts including on handicap and seasonal debut at The Curragh (1m, good-to-yielding) recently.
Not beaten far when 2½L fifth in a 7f handicap at Leopardstown (good) earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and looks up against it stepping up in distance and racing from out of the handicap. First reserve.

A highly competitive renewal of this valuable mile handicap can go the way of BIG BABY BULL who was a winner over shorter last time out. The selection remains open to improvement and is taken to defy a 10lb rise in the weights with a useful apprentice in the saddle once more. Second place can go the way of Georgeville who is making his first start in handicap company. Top weight Nebo is another to consider following an impressive victory in a big field at Cork on his most recent outing while the wide drawn pair Current Option and last time out winner Njord also hold claims.
- Big Baby Bull
- Georgeville
- Nebo
