Progressive son of Hot Streak who is ona hat-trick after two recent wins at Bath. He has no easy task with his double penalty but sets a fair standard and is more streetwise than most.
US bred 70,000 euro colt by Air Force Blue. Half-brother to three winners all at around 1m. Yard has 13% strike rate here with juveniles so market support would be well worth noting on racecourse bow.
Equiano colt, half-brother to last season's Group 3 6f placed and triple winner Graceful Magic. Yard's juvenile newcomers usually need a run or two before showing their best.
Stable won this race twice in the last three years. 110,000gns Territories colt, half-brother to two Listed 1m winners. Decent start when third over 7f at Salisbury a few weeks ago, tiring inside distance. Drops back a furlong and has solid claims.
Swiss Spirit gelding whose dam raced only once but is closely related to a couple of decent sprinters. Yard currently in decent form has 13% winners with 2yo runners at this venue.
Cheaply bought ÂŁ4,000 son of Addaay out of three-time 5f juvenile winner. Yard in good form at present but has very modest strike rate with juvenile runners. Probably best watched on debut.
60,000gn Zoffany colt out of 5f winner who also placed in Listed company as a juvenile. Made good start when 25/1 second over C&D two weeks ago, staying on well inside final furlong. Will know more and should be bang there once again.
Daughter of Zoffany out of Galileo mare. Half-sister to classy 1m-1m4f performer Salouen. Bred to need further than this 6f and will do well to make a meaningful impression on this racecourse bow at this trip.
Dandy Man filly cost ÂŁ17,000, out of maiden US dam. Doesn't jump off the page as a first-time out winner but yard can get one ready so worth a check for any market support on racecourse bow.
48,000gns daughter of Dandy Man who is half-sister to Listed 6f winner as well as two other fair performers. Stable have just 1-40 record with two-year-olds at this track so on balance will probably improve for this first run.
By Showcasing out of dam who was runner-up in Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes (6f) as a juvenile having made winning racecourse debut. Hails from top yard and pedigree suggests she coudl be decent so looks one for the shortlist.
Forecasts
Zoffarelli (5/4), Dillydingdillydong (2/1), Hot Scoop (15/2), Showliana (12/1), Dark Illusion (16/1), Natural Instinct (20/1), Blue Hero (25/1), Hackness Harry (33/1), Eyes (33/1), Ask The Wind (80/1), Rivers Lad (100/1)
DILLYDINGDILLYDONG ran well when third over 7f on debut and the drop back a furlong looks the right call. He could be decent and his previous experience is worth plenty here. Hot Scoop is on a hat-trick after two good wins at Bath recently but his double penalty leaves him vulnerable, but Zoffarelli looks a contender after a fine runner-up finish on debut over C&D two weeks ago. The well bred Showliana could be best of the newcomers and may well be wound up enough to go close, while Blue Hero is another who makes some appeal first time out.
- Dillydingdillydong
- Zoffarelli
