Wore a visor (retained) for the first time when finishing a good third in a 7f handicap at Yarmouth in June, and built on that when scoring in the headgear at Wolverhampton last time. Up 5lb but going the right way, and respected.
Landed a gamble at Beverley last month, and was again suited by the strong pace when scoring there 9 days ago. Needs things to drop right, but remains capable of further success in similar circumstances.
Hung on grimly to win at Haydock two starts back, and again ran well when 4¼L second of 13 to Garden Oasis at Ripon last time. Unexposed at this trip, and should continue in form.
Lope De Vega gelding; made a winning start in a maiden at Redcar (7f, good), and ran well under a penalty when 7¼L third of 14 to Ilaraab in a 1m Thirsk novice last time. Open to improvement, and high on the shortlist making handicap debut.
Off the mark for his new yard at the first time of asking when he breezed through to grab a 1m AW handicap at Lingfield in June, but not so effective returned to turf at Bath last time. Others may have his measure again.
Hold-up sort who won at Lingfield in February but he does seem happier on all-weather surfaces these days, and yet to win on turf. Ran poorly at Yarmouth last time, and easy to pass over once more.
Plenty to like about his first run for this yard when chasing home Streak Lightning at Ripon, and he ran to a similar level when second to Amber Storm at Musselburgh last time. May have more to offer now handicapping.
Ready winner of a Newmarket nursery (7f, good to firm) in late 2018, but bitterly disappointing since returning from a 14-month absence, beating just one rival in three runs this year.
Tends to spoil his chance by starting slowly, and although not beaten far behind Tangled at Beverley on his penultimate start, he blew all chance at the boxes at Hamilton last time.
Better effort for new yard this season when 1¼L fifth of 13 to Magical Effect at Thirsk last time, but did have the race run to suit him there, and his stamina for this trip is unproven.
Won an extended 1m handicap at Hamilton by a head from Woodside Wonder in September, but well below form on next and final outing, and is entitled to need this run after a 9-month absence.
In good form over 7f of late, winning at Haydock, and making the frame on both handicap outings since. Unproved beyond that trip, but tends to hit the line hard, and well worth another try over 1m, for all he's not stayed it in the past.

CONFIDE was conceding lumps of weight to the winner when beaten in novice company last time, and he looks likely to get back on the progressive path now switching to handicaps. He's preferred to Global Spirit, who has proven his stamina for 1m on his last couple of starts, with Tangled reliant on a strong pace to show his best, but a player if the early pace is as strong as seems likely here.
