Fair sort on the Flat he's transferred that form to his hurdling career winning on stable debut in this sphere at Carlisle (2m1f) last October (up 8lb). Given two spins on the Flat since then (one recently), looks to have been primed for this.
Got his hurdles career back on track when joining this yard (won first two starts for them) before disappointing on several occasions. Took a step back in the right direction when last seen (still a little laboured), slipped below last winning mark.
Hexham 2m novice winner last year confirming the promise of his debut when doing so. Efforts over timber after that (including in handicaps) were creditable without making him look well handicapped, decent recent Flat effort may have put him right.
Cemented a good start to life with this yard when scoring over 2m1f last June off an 8lb lower mark. Far from right when attempting to follow up at Newton Abbot soon after, not seen since, still unexposed at this trip, worth a market check.
C&D winner in novice company the last time she ran here having also won at Perth (in novice grade prior to that victory). Yet to score in handicaps over timber, below form at Uttoxeter the other day, needs a return here to spark some progress.
Failed to fire last season even with a declining mark to work with never really getting competitive in any of his outings. Usually races off the pace and stays well, would need to see some sort of spark before being considered worthy of support.
Chase/hurdles winner (both wins off higher marks); Carlisle second last November stands out in a plethora of below-par outings since his last win. Kidded along during that performance, fared poorly when last seen over hurdles on back of wind op.
Fair hurdler on his day but running out of excuses having not been successful since he beat three rivals here over 2m1f in August 2018. Wind surgery/two recent modest Flat spins are now the launchpad for a return to hurdles off a falling mark.
Dual C&D winner last summer when she was in good form (also a winner at Perth, 3m), generally attempts to make all. Showed she could cope with this mark o recent return at Southwell (3m, creditable second), sound claims back at this venue.
Modest handicap hurdler although last win did come off 5lb higher at Aintree (2m4f) last June (had the run of the race). Sound enough efforts since then, usually goes from the front (will have company here), returns from an absence.

Forecasts
Mega Double (11/4), Chocolat Noir (9/2), Wolfcatcher (9/2), Juge Et Parti (5/1), Tsundoku (6/1), Native Fighter (13/2), Ormesher (11/1), Henry's Joy (14/1), Arthurs Secret (14/1), Too Much To Ask (14/1), Raashdy (20/1), Ballyfarsoon (20/1)
The card ends with an interesting handicap hurdle that contains four course winners, two of them over C&D. The best of those looks to be Chocolat Noir who has won on her last two visits here (positively ridden both times) and she looked in fair form when returning at Southwell on the day jumping resumed in GB. She might not have things all her won way upfront (Ballyfarsoon and Juge Et Parti both like to pace set) and that could set things up nicely for the closers. Locally-trained NATIVE FIGHTER was given a recent Flat spin and that could have tuned up this progressive sort for this off what still looks to be a decent mark. Too Much To Ask and Raashdy are two others worth a market check.
- Native Fighter
- Chocolat Noir
- Too Much To Ask
