Dual winner over this trip, including over C&D this time last year, when 10lb lower. Went close back here from this mark two starts later, so has the ability to get heavily involved if coming on for last month's reappearance.
Dual AW winner over 1m2f/1m3f. Ran well when beaten just ¾L on his return to action at Kempton (1m4f, AW) last month. Acts on fast ground, and can't be ruled out despite another 2lb upward nudge by the handicapper.
Multiple AW winner over 7f/1m. 1-19 on turf, where it is several seasons since he produced anything that looks good enough to be a challenger for first prize here.
Triple turf winner over 1m1f-1m3½f on a variety of going. Has run creditably on both starts since an enforced spring break. Drops 1lb here, and that should again see her be very competitive.
12-race maiden, but has gone close three times, including over C&D (good to firm) last August, when on today's mark. Held on his reappearance, but he may have needed that, and no surprise if he goes close again now.
AW winner over 1m4f in February, when 3lb lower. Beaten 8L on his turf debut at Newmarket (1m4f, good) last month, so will will need to step up on that to get involved.
Broke her duck at the 17th attempt with a narrow AW win at Wolverhampton (1m1½f) last month. Has since gone very close over this trip at Windsor (good to firm), when headed close to home. Up another 2lb and in a better race, but looks a contender.
Placed a couple of times on the AW last autumn for Hugo Palmer. Made an inauspicious start to life on turf at Newmarket last month, but stepped up on that with a competitive effort at Yarmouth (1m2f, good to firm) last time. Not written off.
Dual AW winner over 1m2f, the more recent when 7lb lower. Went close from today's mark on his penultimate start at Lingfield, but needs plenty of improvement on previous turf form now back on this surface.
Forecasts
Geranium (10/3), Dyagilev (9/2), Sandy Steve (5/1), Alvaro (13/2), Voi (7/1), Craneur (9/1), Shaffire (10/1), Three C's (14/1), Engrave (20/1)
This looks potentially competitive for its grade, with Shaffire; Voi and Sandy Steve all potential contenders and Engrave not written off with 3lb claimed off his back. However, GERANIUM could come on a fair bit for last month's return to action and she is taken to record a second C&D success.
