Zoffany colt. Didn't run too badly on debut over 5f here last month but couldn't improve from that when 7L fifth at Naas (6f) this month. Looks to be second-string on jockey bookings so best watched.
Air Force Blue colt who has already raced four times. Put up best performance when beaten a neck in Dundalk maiden last weekend and looks to have the hang of things now. Leading chance.
Showcasing filly who was a 30,000 gns yearling purchase. Little to shout about when backward sixth in Fairyhouse maiden (6f) in June which hasn't worked out since. Limited appeal.
Encouraging sort who has posted two nice displays to date. Improved from debut run when second in Limerick maiden (6f) last month and may still have more to come. Stable's first-string.
€37,000 yearling. Half-brother to 1m2f winner Maestro Mac and 7f scorer City Guest. Dam was unplaced up to 1m2f on the track. Not the most taking pedigree and watching brief can be advised.
Twilight Son colt. Ran well enough for a long time but eventually beaten 5L in Limerick maiden (6f) at the end of last month. Has work to do to turn form around with Magnanimous.
€120,000 yearling. Dam was a winner over 1m2f in France. Half-sister to Group 2 juvenile winner Signora Cabello, 6f winner La Presse and Listed-placed 1m winner Emirates Girl. Taking pedigree and shortlisted for debut.
Dawn Approach homebred. Brother to 1m4f winner Dawn Hoofer. Half-brother to winners Super Focus (1m) and Vocal Response (1m). Bred to do better over further so may be best watched.
€8,000 yearling. Half-brother to winners Pillar Box (5f), 1m2f winner Fashionata and 6f scorer Istanbul Pasha. Not the most taking pedigree however and yard aren't in greatest form at present.
Returned to vendor for cheap €5,000 as a yearling. Closely related to 1m2f winner Battle Pride. Half-brother to winners Newmarket Warrior (1m) and Sea The Dawn (7f). Dam was a maiden on the track. Pedigree suggests he shouldn't be up to this.
Bobby's Kitten colt. No show on debut but better show when second in C&D maiden nine days ago. May have more to offer once more so is on the shortlist.
Elzaam gelding and first foal out of juvenile-winning dam. Kept on but didn't really threaten when 6L sixth in 6f Cork maiden a week ago. Entitled to improve but will need significantly more.
Not the most expensive purchase as a yearling. Exceeded market expectations when 3L fourth at Limerick (6f) on debut last month. That looks good enough form so not to be discounted.
Overall breeding suggests she will do better over further and arguably raced like that when 8L sixth in Fairyhouse maiden (6f) last month. May be booked for minor honours once more.
Homebred by Anjaal. Dam was an unraced sister to a 7f Listed Stakes winner and hails from family lines of 1,000 Guineas winner Fairy Footsteps. Hails from in-form yard. Market check advised.
Well-beaten on debut effort last month but fared better when 4L fifth in 6f Limerick maiden at the end of June. This race will still require greater improvement however.
Forecasts
Monaasib (13/8), Magnanimous (9/4), Hyde Park Barracks (15/2), Shambara (10/1), That's Just Dandy (11/1), Going Global (16/1), Anjalawi (18/1), Lay It Out (20/1), Dawn Tapper (22/1), Warrior Brave (25/1), Skipjack (50/1), Zoffany's Delight (50/1), Huddle Up (100/1), Avagardner (100/1), Mass Gathering (100/1), Livingston Range (150/1)
The horses who have had more experience on-track may be best-suited to this contest and preference is for the busy HYDE PARK BARRACKS to belatedly get off the mark. He has some form-ties with some smart juveniles already and his neck defeat at Dundalk last time suggests there is still some more to come from this expensive purchase. Magnaninmous came out best of re-opposing rivals and also looks a sort to progress again, while the likes of Going Global and Monaasib have also showed much smarter form since becoming street-wise on the track. Of the debutantes, Lay It Out has a taking French pedigree which suggests she has a class edge about her.
