Horse A-Z
Sent off 5/1 for 6f Redcar debut a month ago but failed to justify market support when beating just one rival. Mow down a furlong in trip and clearly thought capable of better.

Caught close home when beaten a short head on 6f debut at Fairyhouse last month and bought privately by leading owner since. Dropping down a furlong shouldn't be a concern and now starting off for Michael Bell. Leading claims.

Big step up from moderate debut when 4L fourth of 10 at Windsor on latest run. Just behind a horse that won at Kempton this week on that occasion and wouldn't need to improve too much to go close here.

€27,000 first foal of dam who won over 7f but showed speed enough for the minimum trip. Stable have already won three juvenile races at this track this summer so interesting to see what the market makes of her chances.
Second foal of a dam who won on debut in Germany over 7f and was Group 3 placed. Yard off the mark in two-year-old department recently. Betting should give clue as to what is expected.
Tailed off last at huge odds in two maidens over 5 and 6f and hard to see anything different here

Forecasts

Twilight Heir (4/5), The Golden Unicorn (7/2), Anjella (13/2), Secret Handsheikh (11/1), Dark Alibi (12/1), Jennivere (16/1), A Day Of Mischief (20/1), Living On A Dream (200/1)

Verdict

The fact that TWILIGHT HEIR has been purchased since his very promising debut in Ireland last month is significant and he can pay back the first instalment in a moderate opener. Anjella showed the benefit of experience when taking a step forward at Windsor and appeals as the principal danger with The Golden Unicorn who showed plenty on debut here completing the short list.
  1. Twilight Heir
  2. Anjella
  3. The Golden Unicorn
