Pulled up on three of his four starts since joining this yard including over an extended 2m at Huntingdon (good) last November. Well handicapped on his old forms but others hold more obvious claims at present.
Put a couple of slightly disappointing efforts behind him when 5L fourth over 2m4f at Wincanton (good) in December. Drop in distance no issue and he is interesting on his seasonal reappearance.
Ten race maiden was beaten 11½L when finishing fifth in a 2m handicap chase at Southwell at the start of this month. Worth a check in the market with a tongue tie tried for the first time.
Winner of a novices' handicap chase over 2m1f at Stratford (good) in August last year. Below that form the last twice however but better ground forecast here is a positive on his first start since pulling up on heavy ground at Bangor in November.
Beaten 48L when finishing last of four in a novices' handicap chase over an extended 2m at Newcastle (soft) in December. Others hold more obvious claims on his return to action.
Successful off a 2lb lower mark at Perth (2m, good) in July last year and has run some decent races in defeat over hurdles since. One to note having finished 6¼L fourth off a 3lb higher mark in a handicap hurdle over 2m here last week.
Dual chase winner last summer including over 2m2f at Fontwell (good-to-firm) in August. Pulled up there on his most recent chase start in October and is likely to have come on for his run on the AW at Lingfield last month.
Struggled in four starts since winning over an extended 2m at Worcester (good) in June last year. Handicap mark is falling as a result but he is probably best watched with blinkers tried for the first time.
Good ground winner at Bangor in August last year but has finished held on soft and heavy going on his three most recent starts. Interesting to see how he performs racing from out of the handicap on his return to forecast good ground.
Forecasts
Little Stevie (9/4), Fort De L'Ocean (4/1), Tikkinthebox (5/1), Bagan (7/1), Inca Gold (15/2), Eyesopenwideawake (11/1), Hillview Lad (14/1), Dragon Khan (18/1), No No Cardinal (33/1)
LITTLE STEVIE ran well over hurdles here last week and he can make a winning return to fences with a victory in this competitive looking handicap chase. The selection can see off his rivals with Fort De L'Ocean capable of finishing runner-up following a decent effort in defeat on his seasonal debut just over a fortnight ago. Third place can go to Tikkinthebox who is dropping back in trip.
