Footstepsinthesand filly. Winning chance was cost by slow start and finished never nearer seventh on debut at Salisbury (7f) in September. Not seen since but should be better than that.

More than exceeded market expectations in both starts to date, improving when 3L fourth in 7f Newmarket maiden at the start of June. No reason why she cannot progress once again and can't be discounted.

Gone off at three-figure prices in two starts to date and running accordingly. Plenty to find on latest 15L eighth of 10 in 1m Kempton maiden last month. Very limited appeal.

Has looked a far better prospect in two starts this season, finishing second on both times, including 6f Wolverhampton novice latest. Back in lesser company for this and is a solid contender.

Cost 12,000 gns as a foal. Sister to 6f sprinter Strath Burn (including Group 3) and dam was a winner over 1m. Taking pedigree and will need a close look at in the market.

Intrinsic filly who has some appeal in her pedigree but didn't really fare on debut when 7L last of five at Lingfield (6f) last month. Entitled to improve but more needed on that form.

Has looked green in both starts to date, and looked well-held when 9L eighth in 1m Kempton maiden a month ago. Needs to step up markedly for this and may be a handicapping sort.

Half-sister to five winners but didn't really showed she had that capability when 15L sixth on debut at Chelmsford (1m) in early March. Not seen since but step up required for this.

Never figured on her debut but fared markedly better when beaten 2L into third in 6f Lingfield novice contest last month. This is a step down and no reason why she cannot progress again.

Footstepsinthesand filly who seemed to have a tough task on debut but exceeded expectations when second at Newmarket (1m) last month. Likely to step forward again and has top jockey on board.

Usefully bred and was an eye-catcher on debut when keeping on well to take third at Wolverhampton (7f) in early June. Has the scope to improve and yard are operating well at present. Shortlisted.

Pedigree isn't the most taking but ran a modest enough race when 6L seventh in 6f event at this track on debut. Will need to step up once more but even that form puts her with only some place claims.

One of the most exposed in the field who has placed in four starts so far, including 2L third at Windsor (1m, good to firm) last time. This trip should suit better. Each-way claims.

Very cheap purchase as a foal who was given tough ask on debut and ran accordingly, being beaten 15L over C&D last month. Has another stiff task in front of her in this.

Twice-raced maiden. Offered only slightly more improvement when 9L fifth in 5f Windsor novice last month and steps back up 2f with plenty to prove. Opposed.

Verdict

An open-looking affair, preference is for PERFORMANCE POET to get off the mark on her second start. The three-year-old was taking when looking slightly uncomfortable on her debut, but this track should suit her better and her trainer is currently operating at a 44% strike rate. Plenty also hold claims, including the similarly less-exposed types of One Small Step and One Above, who ran striking debuts and warrant major respect, while the most exposed Rhyme Scheme seems consistent and sets the form standard. One making her debut is Evolica, who cannot be ignored due to the trainer/jockey combination.
  1. Performance Poet
  2. One Small Step
  3. Rhyme Scheme
