Price rose to €13,000 as a yearling. Third foal of dam who was unraced. Half-brother to a 6f winner but presumably had issues to take so long to reach the track.

Missed the break and always green on sole start over a year ago, eventually finishing last. Long absence since to overcome.
Cost £80,000 as a yearling but that dropped to just 1,500 gns last autumn. Dam won over 7f and 1m and this one is related to winners at various trips but has presumably had issues.

Promise first three runs in Ireland last year but finished the season there on a low and very disappointing two of his three runs since joining this yard and hasn't totally convinced that he stays 7f.

Had no problems stepping up to 7f for the first time at Leicester last week, giving best in the last few strides and going down by a neck (10L clear of My Friend Stan). Cheekpieces now go on for the first time.

Took a step forward from his debut when third at Windsor over 6f last month, 3L behind Vitare. Shaped as though this extra furlong will definitely suit and should have more to come.

Entered handicaps on a high mark and not surprisingly drops back into maiden company now. Debut for this stable didn't offer a great deal but this is easier and could play a part.

Yarmouth second on comeback run in early June probably the best form on offer but hasn't improved in two runs since and disappointing he couldn't take advantage of a very weak race over 6f at Windsor last time.

Fifth foal of dam who failed to make the track. Half-sister to a winner from 1m3 to 2m and may in time want more of a test.

Took a step forward from debut when fifth at Redcar over 6f last month and though that form has taken a few knocks he is open to improvement though it may be in handicaps after this.

No sign of ability at huge prices in pair of maidens and easy to look elsewhere on that evidence.
First foal of dam who did win from 6f to 1m although yard not associated with debut winners and only of interest if market speaks positively.

Shaped with promise when third on debut at Yarmouth but possible that her second start came too soon as that was a tame effort in comparison (3L behind Vitare). Looks worth another chance following a little break since.

80/1 and always on the back foot on Thirsk debut last month over 6f last month and needs dramatic improvement to play a part.

Forecasts

Rebel Soldier Boy (10/11), Vitare (5/2), My Friend Stan (6/1), Habanero Star (11/1), Tagovailoa (14/1), Trumpets Call (25/1), Casilli (40/1), Joe's Way (50/1), Another Bond (80/1), Luvi's Little Bro (80/1), Champagne Fountain (100/1), Dylan's Lad (125/1), Elixir Vitae (150/1), Henet (200/1)

Verdict

A weak contest and with the likes of Vitare and My Friend Stan not progressing it may be best to side with REBEL SOLDIER BOY who was close to getting off the mark on first attempt at this trip last week. Habanero Star may do better after a bit of a break and she could prove to be the principal threat.
  1. Rebel Soldier Boy
  2. Habanero Star
  3. Vitare
