Verdict

In an extremely weak affair, this race can go to VOLCANO BAY who has stepped up on her previous showings in novice company to run respectably in defeat on both starts so far this season. The drop back to 1m2f looks the right move and she can shed her maiden tag at the sixth attempt. One who may be under the radar is Belynda who has offered very little promise in maiden company, but this represents an almighty drop in class which offers some hope she may be able to get more competitive than she has done to date. It is hard to be positive about the remainder, but Maykir did win in this grade three starts ago and could make the frame after running poorly in handicaps.
