Dual winner at Wolverhampton last year and holding mark well since. Caught close home at Pontefract (1m4f) on reappearance and visor could bring out even more in him.
Yet to get off the mark but has some solid placed efforts next to his name. Didn't fare badly on return with narrow defeat in 1m3f Kempton handicap and likely to be ridden less forcefully today. Place claims.
Encouraging second on seasonal bow at Lingfield last month, but couldn't back that up when 12L fifth in 1m6f handicap at Doncaster latest. Still needs to prove he stays the trip.
Still a maiden after 12 starts and can be forgiven for latest effort when pulling up after 3f. Good fourth (beaten 3L) at Wolverhampton (1m4f) the time before that. Some place claims.
Has proven stamina at this trip and over further and returned to form with 1L victory in 1m4f Goodwood handicap last time. Hiked up 5lb but may be capable off this mark still.
Comes with a lot of warning signs and tailed off in his last two starts, including 18L defeat at Pontefract (1m4f) last month. Mark eased but has become untrustworthy.
Reliable sort especially around Kempton but not as good in two starts since the resumption. Never a factor with 7L defeat at that venue (2m) last month and has a little bit to prove now.
Failed to live up to promise for Sir Michael Stoute and not really offered much on stable debut at Kempton (1m4f) in February. Not seen since and has had his wind done in a bit to spark something.
Four-race maiden (two starts in the UK) and generally regressed. Tailed off in 1m2f Sandown maiden last month and while one for handicaps, today is probably not his day.
Form went downward last term but returned this year in better form. No chance with impressive winner last time but stayed on to take second at Newmarket (1m4f) in June. Down 2lb for that and is well-placed.

The race could turn into a match between two progressive horses at both ends of the weights, but this looks a good opportunity for the consistent MONSIEUR LAMBRAYS to return to winning ways. While he does run in snatches, the four-year-old tends to deliver late on and should thrive over this trip. With the visor applied and only 1lb rise, he looks hard to beat. Thaqaffa was put in his place by a well-handicapped horse last time (who has since run well in higher company) and is now being given a chance by the handicapper, while the likes of Mouriyani and High Commissioner have likeable form books but may just be in the grip of the handicapper at this stage.
