Defied odds of 25/1 when winning a decent maiden on debut here (Rowley Course) but failed to build on that in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. Too soon to be writing off but looked well suited to fast ground on debut and won't get that here.
Won his maiden at Haydock and stayed on well for pressure when making it two from two back at that venue last time. More needed here but proven in conditions and can give a good account.
Beautifully bred sort who knew his job when winning in good fashion at the Curragh on debut; every chance he can take this step up in class in his stride and yard won this in 2017.
Travelled well into the race when winning at Kempton on debut; runner-up was beaten in a novice event next time out so no doubt he will need to step up on the bare form here but ought to progress.
Front two pulled way clear when winning a novice here on debut in a four-runner heat, beating a better fancied stablemate. Runner-up has won well since and he should progress here for a yard that have won two of the last four renewals of this.
Got the hang of things late on when defying odds of 40/1 in a Kempton maiden on debut; the second and third have both won since and he will have learnt plenty from that; interesting runner but does need a sizable step forward.
Improved from debut behind Bright Devil on the Rowley Mile course to win a Redcar maiden in good fashion; third of that race has won since but there's no doubt he's got more on his plate here.
Took a while to get going but ultimately impressive when winning at Doncaster on debut; the third did the form no favours since but should improve plenty for that run.
Improved from debut to win a Wolverhampton maiden on debut but that form has taken knocks since and plenty more needed here.
Showed promise when given a tough debut task in the Norfolk and won with plenty in hand when landing a novice at Yarmouth seven days ago; more on his plate here but the yard have won four of the last 10 renewals so has to be respected.
Forecasts
Hudson River (11/5), Master Of The Seas (4/1), Seventh Kingdom (6/1), King Zain (13/2), Devious Company (7/1), Ventura Tormenta (10/1), Saint Lawrence (14/1), Bright Devil (18/1), Snash (50/1), Miami Joy (100/1)
It's hard to rule out most of these with any degree of confidence but a chance is taken on HUDSON RIVER who created a nice impression at the Curragh on debut. Master Of The Seas beat a subsequent winner here on debut and looks a nice prospect. At a likely each-way sort of price, Miami Joy shaped like he would improve plenty for his debut success at Kempton when sent off at 40/1 and subsequent winners have come out of that race.
- Hudson River
- Master Of The Seas
- Miami Joy
