By Swiss Spirit. Gelded ahead of debut. Full brother to a 6f two-year-old winner and a half-brother to another three winners. Would have to be useful to win this first time out, and that is unlikely. Others preferred.
Well-beaten again when last of nine at Hamilton (5f; good to soft) recently. Likely to be another big priced outsider in this contest, and it would be a major surprise if he suddenly found the required improvement to take this.
Mehmas colt. £28,000 yearling. Half-brother to a trio of winners including 5f 'Listed' winner Clem Fandango. Yard are yet to have a two-year-old winner this season, but he is a nice enough type on paper so should be involved.
Ran respectably behind nice enough types on each of his three career starts to date. Had to be bustled along early to be up with the pace after a tardy start last time. Can't afford to be slowly away again at this venue.
Posted another low-key effort when midfield at Doncaster (6f; good to firm) after failing to beat a single rival on debut. Now tries 5f for the first time, but others have more convincing claims and so he is subsequently ruled out.
Takes a major drop in class after finishing down the field when contesting the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f; good). Runner-up to a nice type on debut prior to that, and a major player on that form.
Showed slightly more encouragement when sixth behind Acklam Express (3rd) on turf debut at Beverley (5f; good) last month. Plenty more needed if he is to feature prominently though, and he should be more competitive when entering handicaps.
Just mowed down late on to somehow finish third when 25-1 on debut at Redcar (6f; good). Looked sure to win 1f out so the drop in trip looks the right move, and wouldn't need to improve a great deal to take this.
Camacho folly who made £35,000 as a yearling. Half-sister won over a variety of trips ranging from 5f to 1m. Doesn't have an overly high standard to aim at on debut, so considered if market speaks positively for her.

Yorkshire Pirlo (7/4), Tantastic (7/2), Emirati Dirham (4/1), Denzil's Laughing (13/2), Acklam Express (10/1), International Girl (12/1), Tapeten Toni (14/1), Highland Dandy (16/1), Arfinn Rose (66/1), Colton (150/1)
Given how well he was going half a furlong from the line, it is hard to believe YORKSHIRE PIRLO ended up finishing third on debut at Redcar. The drop back to this minimum trip should be ideal and he can make amends for that agonising defeat. This is a whole lot easier than the Royal Ascot assignment Tantastic was handed, but if you go back to the form of his debut effort he would have major claims and is subsequently respected. Of the newcomers, Denzil's Laughing and International Girl are of interest, while Acklam Express should also be feared given how well he ran for one so green when placed at 150-1 on debut.
