Came good over an 8lb lower mark at Pontefract over a mile last year but stays this trip, as he showed when runner-up at Doncaster on next start. Probably wants the ground on the quick side but chances if fit after an absence.
Hard to catch right, just two wins in 20 starts but on the plus side, one of them did come here (albeit back in 2017). Ran perfectly well on reappearance last month but pays for his consistency with his mark, and handicapper has him in his grip.
Steadily improving sort, and took form to a new level when successful at Chelmsford (10f) last month, battling on gamely. Just as effective on turf, and as long as ground stays on quick side, looks one of the main players despite 4lb rise.
One win in nine starts, but consistent and ran right to best form when second at Newcastle on reappearance last month. Trip ideal, gets another change of headgear today, and this smooth traveller looks sure to play a part.
Has returned from absence in very good heart, successful on reappearance at Lingfield and has run to that form in two subsequent starts, finishing runner-up both times. Ideally wants a bit further but in such good form, is hard to discount.
Has fallen to a good-looking mark on best of his form and there were signs that he was on the way back with a better effort at Ayr on reappearance, finishing a respectable third; not the easiest of rides but has chances if it drops right for him.
Very classy handicapper at best and thrown in off this mark on best of his form, but it's a long time since he showed any of that and was again readily held in two starts last month. Yard still finding winners hard to come by too.
Couple of years now since he got his head in front and he's hard to catch right, but nothing wrong with recent efforts and came back to form when a close second at Beverley latest. Course winner that could hit the frame again.
Just the two wins in 18 starts but hits the frame with some regularity and did so again on latest start at Beverley (1m). Yet to really show that this trip is what he wants, however, and others hold stronger claims.
Two wins in 18 starts, latest of those coming over 1m at Beverley last August but has founf life harder since then, and she was held in two starts last month. Stays this far and goes on most ground, but might be happier in a slightly easier race.

Cape Cavalli (15/8), Mordred (5/1), Ritchie Valens (5/1), Storting (6/1), Ulshaw Bridge (9/1), Cote d'Azur (10/1), El Ghazwani (12/1), Daawy (20/1), Northern Lyte (22/1), Amadeus Grey (25/1), Tricorn (66/1)
CAPE CAVALLI inevitably travels strongly into his races and this looks a good opportunity for him to finish the job off. He comes here after an excellent effort at Newcastle and with that under his belt, looks sure to play a part. Richie Valens probably needs the rain to stay away but looks to be improving and a danger to all. Daawy has a squeak if it drops right for him, but he's not the easiest to win with. Old Cote d'Azur comes here in form and looks sure to run his race again.
- Cape Cavalli
- Ritchie Valens
- Daawy
