Debut winner over an extended 6f at Newbury (soft) in June last year but hasn't been seen since finishing 1½L third in a 7f novice event at Leicester (good-to-soft) later that month. One for the shortlist dropping in trip on seasonal debut.
Best effort in three starts came when finishing 4L fourth over this trip in a good-to-firm ground maiden contest at Windsor 15 days ago. Likely more needed if he's to take this event.
Left debut effort well behind when winning by ½L over this trip at Windsor (good-to-firm) last month. Making his first start since being gelded that day and interesting to see how he performs.
Good neck second in a heavy ground 7f maiden at Doncaster in October last year and drops in trip here having finished seventh over the same trip at Haydock (good) on handicap debut just under a month ago.
Ran well when beaten 2½L into fourth over 7f in a firm ground novice contest on seasonal debut at Yarmouth at the start of last month. Struggled over this trip at Goodwood (good-to-firm) subsequently however.
Beaten 6¾L when finishing fourth over 7f on good ground here on seasonal debut last month. Also making his first start since being gelded that day and is worth a check in the market dropping in trip.
Well held on both starts to date including when 26L last of nine over 1m in a Windsor (good-to-firm) maiden at the end of last month. Tongue tie tried for the first time dropping in distance.
Started a big price when finishing 29L last of ten in a 7f maiden on good going here when making his debut last month. Probably best watched at present.
Signs of ability when seventh over 7f at Wolverhampton on debut just under a month ago but finished well beaten over the same trip at Lingfield nine days later. Probably best watched in this event.
Beaten 4¾L when finishing runner-up in a six runner 5f maiden at Bath (good-to-firm) on debut a fortnight ago. Likely more needed if she is to break her maiden in this race.

Forecasts
Beauty Choice (7/4), Mottrib (7/4), Tuscan Oasis (9/2), Brunel's Boy (13/2), Caribbean Spice (22/1), Amathus (25/1), Mr Millarcky (25/1), Clover Hill (125/1), Rhubarb (125/1), Rosie Mccann (150/1), Flip Mode (200/1)
MOTTRIB has been off the track for more than a year but he showed plenty of ability on his two starts in June last year and representing a stable with a 25% (2/8) strike-rate in non-handicaps here in recent years he can register his second career success in this novice event. Beauty Choice disappointed on handicap and seasonal debut last time out and he can put that effort behind him by claiming second spot ahead of Amathus who sprung an 80/1 shock when winning at Windsor last time.
- Mottrib
- Beauty Choice
- Amathus
