Made a good start to his career winning first two juvenile starts but appears to have training troubles since then (already had two wind ops). Would have needed the run last time (19 months off), can only be watched, this run should reveal more.
A Cork maiden over 7f in testing conditions when trained in Ireland is the sole victory to his name. Did show some promise from slightly higher marks towards the end of last year over sprint trips, not really found the same sparkle as yet in 2020.
One-time useful handicapper but struggling to be anything like the force he was now with the year's advancing. Shaped as if the run was needed last time at Redcar (6f, good/soft), travelled well until folding quickly, dangerously well handicapped.
Course winner (5f), who hasn't won since April 2018, unsurprisingly slipped to a good mark, shaped well last time on the back of a wind op at Doncaster over 6f. Fully-fledged rider now takes over, has to be considered given his latest effort.
Competent sprinter who fared well on AW over the winter winning three times over 5.1f at Wolverhampton. Can start slowly but exited far better on his latest Doncaster outing over 6f, finished third (Sheepscar Lad just behind), should be competitive.
Lower in the weights on turf, steadily working his way back to form, took a step in the right direction with a third behind Mr Wagyu at Ayr (6f, good/firm) last time. 5lb better off with the winner for just over 2L, could well get involved.
Course winner but one whose losing run is starting to stack up, slipped a long way in the weights due to being largely out of sorts last year. Showed a little more zest on return at Thirsk (6f, good), very well-handicapped if he could build on that.
Quirky sort (has refused to race) but did manage to click when back in headgear straight after his latest misdemeanour winning easily at Kempton (6f). His dark side emerged again last time when going with little fluency at Chepstow, comes with risks.
Five-time C&D winner who whilst not being the most reliable has a record to be admired around here (won on his last C&D visit off 1lb higher). Not won since but given a tune-up at Thirsk, without headgear (returns here), hard to ignore around here.

Forecasts
Avenue Of Stars (7/2), Sheepscar Lad (7/2), Henley (9/2), Mr Wagyu (5/1), Round The Island (11/2), Epeius (11/2), Mutabaahy (10/1), Jewel Maker (14/1), Pipers Note (25/1), Mutanaaseq (28/1)
Not the highest quality finale but an interesting one nonetheless with C&D specialist Round The Island taking the eye despite not being the most straightforward it’s hard to ignore him around here. Avenue Of Stars is another quirky sort who could on his day win this but it may be best to look elsewhere although rock-solid options are thin on the ground. SHEEPSCAR LAD is on a long losing run so can’t be a confident selection but he shaped well last time at Doncaster and with Tom Eaves replacing an apprentice he may well find the gumption to end his dry spell. Henley and Pipers Note are both dangerously well handicapped if they did find some zip while Mr Wagyu and Epeius renew rivalry.
- Sheepscar Lad
