Avenue Of Stars (7/2), Sheepscar Lad (7/2), Henley (9/2), Mr Wagyu (5/1), Round The Island (11/2), Epeius (11/2), Mutabaahy (10/1), Jewel Maker (14/1), Pipers Note (25/1), Mutanaaseq (28/1)
Not the highest quality finale but an interesting one nonetheless with C&D specialist Round The Island taking the eye despite not being the most straightforward it’s hard to ignore him around here. Avenue Of Stars is another quirky sort who could on his day win this but it may be best to look elsewhere although rock-solid options are thin on the ground. SHEEPSCAR LAD is on a long losing run so can’t be a confident selection but he shaped well last time at Doncaster and with Tom Eaves replacing an apprentice he may well find the gumption to end his dry spell. Henley and Pipers Note are both dangerously well handicapped if they did find some zip while Mr Wagyu and Epeius renew rivalry.
