Winner over this trip on the Flat in France and placed here in May last year. Struggled over 2m at Goodwood (good-to-firm) later that month and others make more appeal on stable debut following more than a year off the track.
Well beaten in two starts over 1m this season including in first time blinkers (absent here) at Newbury last time out. Stamina to prove on first attempt at this distance.
Promising 3½L third in a first time visor (retained) when contesting a 1m6f handicap at Sandown (good) on seasonal debut last month. Races off a 1lb higher mark here and is of interest dropping in trip.
Victorious three times on the Flat in France including over an extended 1m1f at Cholet (very soft) last September. Well held on the AW at Lyon-La-Soie subsequently and market support would be notable upped in trip on stable debut.
Making her seasonal debut when finishing 8L fifth over this trip in an AW event at Lingfield just under a month ago. Races off a mark 3lb higher than when for her most recent victory.
Winner of a 1m2f novice event at Salisbury (good-to-firm) in May last year. Ran well on heavy ground subsequently but finished well beaten at Kempton (1m3f) on seasonal debut last month and wears cheekpieces for the first time.
Not beaten far when finishing sixth in a 1m2f event at Beverley (good) last month. Making his first start since being gelded that day and has run well over this trip in the past.
Well held fifth in a 1m6f handicap at Wolverhampton last month when returning from a break. Races off a mark 7lb higher than when winning over this distance at Kempton last December.
Successful on soft ground over 1m at two but has struggled in three starts for this yard and returns to the Flat having finished 30L fifth over six in a maiden hurdle over an extended 1m7f at Musselburgh (soft) in February.
Impressive winner of a heavy ground handicap hurdle over an extended 2m here in February but struggled when 7¾L fourth of five at Haydock (1m4f, good-to-firm) on Flat return recently. Softer ground forecast here a positive.
C&D winner ended last season with a 1½L victory in a 1m4f handicap at Catterick (good-to-firm) in September. Likely to have improved for last months seasonal debut at Redcar (1m2f, good) and this step back up in trip is another positive.
Promising 3¼L fifth in a 1m2f handicap at Newmarket (good-to-firm) on seasonal debut just over a month ago. Notable runner racing off a mark 2lb lower than when winning over an extended 1m4f at Chester (heavy) in May last year.
Caught the eye when meeting trouble in running in finishing fourth in a 1m4f event at Pontefract (good) on seasonal reappearance last month. Beaten 1½L that day and is one to note in this contest.
Best effort in two starts this campaign came when finishing 1¾L second over an extended 1m3f at Windsor (good) just under a fortnight ago. Races off the same mark here and another bold show looks likely.
Fair fifth on both starts this campaign including when 9L last over this trip at Haydock (good-to-firm) recently. Likely more needed racing off a mark 1lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Doubled his career tally when making a winning seasonal reappearance in a 1m2f handicap at Newbury (good) last month. Shaped as if worth another attempt at this distance and is one for the shortlist despite a 5lb rise in the weights.
Well beaten fifth in a 1m2f event at Redcar (good) on seasonal debut last month. Winner off higher marks in the past but others hold more obvious claims on this occasion.
Forecasts
Edmond Dantes (5/1), Mankayan (13/2), Heart Of Soul (15/2), Doctor Cross (17/2), Air Force Amy (17/2), Motivate Me (9/1), Lord Halifax (9/1), Bollin Joan (12/1), Stonific (14/1), Sashenka (16/1), Power Of States (18/1), Billy No Mates (20/1), Appointed (22/1), Loch Ness Monster (25/1), Blue Rambler (50/1), Divine Gift (80/1), Dr Rio (100/1)
AIR FORCE AMY can go one better than when finishing runner-up last time out by taking this highly competitive handicap contest. The selection looks capable of getting the better of Edmond Dantes who impressed when winning over shorter on his most recent start while third place can go to Doctor Cross who caught the eye when meeting trouble in running in finishing fifth on his seasonal reappearance last time.
- Air Force Amy
- Edmond Dantes
- Doctor Cross
