Successful twice from ten previous starts but has failed to beat a rival home the last twice including when beaten 31L over 1m at Kempton on seasonal debut early last month. Hood and tongue tie (first time) worn that day both absent for this event.
Ended her time with Steph Hollinshead by finishing 16½L tenth in a 1m handicap at Haydock (good-to-soft) just under a month ago. Market support would be notable on debut for this yard.
Off the mark at first attempt in handicap company when winning easily in a good-to-firm ground 7f event at Yarmouth last night. Raised 9lb for that effort and is a notable runner despite being unproven on the forecast soft ground.
Well held 12th in a good-to-firm ground C&D handicap when making her seasonal debut recently. Races off a mark 4lb lower than for her most recent victory but is probably best watched at present.
Heavy ground handicap winner over this trip at Yarmouth last October but has struggled twice since including on seasonal debut over 1m on good ground here last month. Others make more appeal.
Showed ability in three starts in maiden races including when 5½L fourth over this distance at Redcar (good) last time out. Worth a check in the market on first start in handicap company.
Ran well when finishing 4L third in a 7f maiden on the AW at Lingfield just under a month ago. Hails from a top yard and strong claims of making a winning handicap and turf debut.
Victorious four times to date and including twice at Wolverhampton last winter. Good 1¼L second over this trip there last month and is of interest on her first turf start since last September.
Four race maiden registered her best effort when 5L third over this trip at Lingfield last October. Held fifth on handicap debut at Kempton (7f) in January and market support would be notable on debut for this yard.
Winner on the AW at two and finished a decent 3½L fourth on the AW over 6f on stable debut early last month. Failed to replicate that effort over the same trip at Wolverhampton and interesting to see how she fares in this contest.
Making her handicap debut when finishing 4¾L fifth in a firm ground 7f event at Yarmouth at the start of last month. Has shown form on softer surfaces in the past and remains open to improvement.
Six race maiden finished a well beaten eighth over an extended 7f at Beverley (good) on seasonal debut last month. Others hold more obvious claims in this event.
Promising 1¼L fifth on handicap debut over this trip at Wolverhampton last time out. Races off the same mark here and is a notable runner for a stable with a 33% strike-rate (3/9) in recent weeks.
Victorious over 1m at Redcar (good-to-firm) in May last year but has struggled in the main since including when ninth over this trip at the same venue last time out. Races off a mark 4lb lower than for that Redcar triumph.
Placed on three of her four starts at two but has disappointed in both outings this campaign most recently when the trainer reported a breathing issue in finishing 52L last of 12 over 1m on the AW at Lingfield last weekend.
Forecasts
Capla Berry (3/1), Aswaat (4/1), Ikebana (6/1), Alianne (9/1), La Voix Magique (12/1), Dubai Elegance (12/1), Parikarma (14/1), Restless Endeavour (16/1), Dream World (18/1), Verdigris (18/1), Isola Bella May (20/1), Daddy's Daughter (22/1), Qaseeda (40/1), Irish Eileen (80/1), Elpheba (100/1)
ALIANNE showed plenty of promise when not beaten far on handicap debut last time out and she is the selection to register a first career success in this competitive looking event. The three-year-old races off the same mark here and can see of her rivals with Aswaat who represents top connections on her first handicap start capable of claiming second ahead of Capla Berry who was an impressive handicap debut winner on her most recent outing.
- Alianne
- Aswaat
- Capla Berry
